OVERVIEW

The Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-channel Line Mixer is big on features despite its ultra-compact size. The MX400 yields the highest sonic quality at all output levels, boasting ultra low-noise 4580 operational amplifiers for outstanding audio performance. These are the same op amps found in its much bigger brethren.

Expanding on the capabilities of standard-size mixers is where the Behringer MX400 does extremely well—for example as a sub-mixer. If you are running short on available channels on your big mixer and need to bring the output of 3 different keyboards into your mix, you can simply connect them to the MX400, work out the keyboard mix, and connect the Behringer MICROMIX MX400 Line Mixer's output to a single input on your main mixer.

Ultra low-noise mixer with 4580 operational amps for better audio performance.

FEATURES
  • Ultra-compact 4-channel line mixer
  • Highest sonic quality even at maximum output level
  • Input Level control for each channel
  • Ultra low-noise 4580 operational amplifiers for outstanding audio performance
  • DC 12 volt adapter included

A simple, eye-catching design for an ear-catching performance every time. Order today!

I've plugged some rackmount keyboard modules together, and this gives my soundman only one channel to worry about instead of four. Can't having him freaking out, or take up too many snake sends. Setting the knobs at about 1 o'clock provides plenty of mix. Glad I found a simple solution, instead of connecting a bunch of expensive cable adapters together.
..and cheapest. Not a ot of features, but this is just a method of combining signals. If you need to see levels, this isn't it.
Mine lives in the back of an SKB case, and has velcro stuck to it, so it doesn't bang around. It has performed flawlessly. There is some dog hair on the velcro now. I blame my dog.
Like I said, just to mix some outs together, it's great.

The MicroMix is perfect for combining several line-level sources into a single input. It's also good for mixing stereo outputs down to mono. We're using it to feed two stereo computer outputs into a single mono PA channel.

The supplied wall wart has the European ungrounded plug (two large, widely separated round pins). It supports USA voltage, but I had to drive to the store to buy a Euro>US travel adapter to plug it in. Since it's so small and light, you will also need to buy some stick-on rubber feet or Velcro to keep it from sliding around.

Overall, it's typical Behringer: better than you expect for the price, but still just "OK." Buying stick-on rubber feet and a travel adapter adds 50% to the cost of the unit, plus an annoying trip to the store when I was installing the thing.

Comments about Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-Channel Line Mixer:

I prefer using a Kustom Groove Bass amp for my keyboards. The amp I'm using now only has one input. I usually use three keyboards as I add lots of effects. This was the perfect unit to be able to add more inputs. Works good, very compact, but remember, each line only has a level control. If you're looking for more features, you should buy a different unit.

Comments about Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-Channel Line Mixer:

I play in a group with 3 instruments: 6,12,string guitar, and banjo. With only one channel left on our PA mixer, this little gem works great. Easy to use (mounted on a table) with volume controls for each input. No more switching guitar cords. Works well with my electrified banjo too, Treat the power unit with care so you don't damage the wiring. If needed, you can run each channel through effects pedals.

Comments about Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-Channel Line Mixer:

Many newer amps just have one input. This is a great way to add inputs. I use it on a small amp so I can have a guitar and mic plugged up at the same time. It works really well and is quiet.

Comments about Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-Channel Line Mixer:

I bought this to use as a keyboard mixer for live performance and also silent band rehearsal via JamHub. My sole purpose was to allow my keyboards to only use one mixer channel live and one JamHub channel in the studio. It does that job perfectly. I have also used one of the four channels for guitar on occasion. It doesn't alter the tone of any of my keyboards or guitar signal at all and is perhaps the simplest piece of equipment to use that I've ever purchased. It's also pretty study with a metal casing. No complaints at all about this as long as you understand what it is - simply a way to combine multiple inputs into a single channel with the only added control being individual volume for each input.

I repeat These are great. They do just what they say. They work for whatever instrument you plug into them. Has pre-amp that boosts the signal and allows you to control each input volume. Even comes with the power supply. Can't beat it for price or function. Thanks MF!

I have a Fender Champion 100 amp with only one input. But I use multiple guitars in my performances. The Micromix allows my to swap out guitars without the inconvenience of swapping out multiple patch cords in the single amp input.

Comments about Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-Channel Line Mixer:

Using two of these for live "Tribute" performances, one for Electric guitars, and one for Acoustics. Electric inst. go into AC-30, while Acoustics feed into (ONE) PA Channel. preset Vol's are marked on tape strip on mixer, so when changing inst's, I just need to turn down that channel, and then turn up the new channel, this eliminates "Putzing" with guitar Vol's.!! A GREAT tool for me, and recommend it highly! Even bought one for our Church and it's helping out there as well. The fact that it comes with it's OWN Transformer is a plus, although some of the adds do not make this very clear---(UPDATE ??). Thanx to M's.F. for having the WISDOM to once again sell this item, although there was a period there where they didn't! This "Thingy" REALLY is worth every penny, and THEN SOME!-----Gb----jw

Comments about Behringer MICROMIX MX400 4-Channel Line Mixer:

I had wires running everywhere and lacked certain inputs for my basic recording setup (and was getting a lot of buzz/hum). I didn't have a lot of money to spend but I knew a mixer was a good fit. Found this inexpensive piece which had decent reviews so I gave it a try. It is good, especially for the price, and for my basic usage. I can now plug my guitar/pedals, elec drums, and piano into the mixer, then to my guitar amp, which then leads to my recording equip. Now I have a simplified setup that solves all my issues.
