Ideal for mid-sized venues!
The VRX932LA is a light-weight compact 12" two-way line array speaker system designed for use in arrays of up to six units. VRX932LA is the ideal choice when line array performance is needed but the venue size doesn't call for the very long-throw characteristics of larger line arrays such as JBL's VerTec.
The Constant Curvature waveguide mounts three compression drivers on a continuous arc. When additional VRX932LA speakers are added to the array the uninterrupted arc continues. In effect, all the drivers work together as if they were a single driver on a very long waveguide. Since there are three drivers in each VRX932LA, the combined power handling and acoustic output of the system is far greater than a single driver could achieve.
VRX932LA speaker cab uses "amplitude shading" to shape the coverage of the array. Switches on the input plate allow, for example, the upper box in an array to reach a distant balcony while the lower HF section is shaded back to reduce excessive level at the front of the listening area.
One or two VRX932LAs may also be used on a tripod or over subwoofers. The integral rigging hardware is used to securely lock the array together while the dual-angle pole socket provides aiming flexibility. As many as six VRX932LA speaker systems may be suspended in a single array for a nominal vertical coverage of up to 90 °. Suspended applications require the JBL VRX-AF array frame (available separately). For applications in which the array must be aimed sharply down, a second array frame may be installed to the bottom of the array serving as a pull-back.
The VRX932LA speaker was designed with SRX700 series compatibility in mind. VRX918S subwoofers are the ideal choice for a ground-stacked or flown VRX932LA system.

I've used the JBL VRX932LA(2Pairs) along with the JBL SRX718S Subwoofer(2Pairs)along with 2 Crown XTi 4000 Power Amplifiers. This combination is the best I've heard in a long time. Our church facility's acoustics is not great at all and we've hosted a number of international artists at our facility. We've used of the great hi-end brands before, i.e. EV, Nexo, Peavey, Yamaha, to name a few, but nothing comes close. For obvious superior sound, this is the way to go!!!

The line array concept with amplitude shading really works! In 1500 to 5000 seat theaters, this is THE way to go. 1-You can use your existing amplifiers. 2-You get the benefits of "flying" but without the hassle, engineering and insurance costs. 3-The curved array will reach every part of a multi-level theater, even the balcony.This is NOT the ideal set up for outdoor gigs. This array has beautifully even dispersion and intelligibility anywhere in the house. ?that?s IN the house! The system?s response is flat and even enough to reproduce complex transients of orchestral instruments without sounding harsh.Build quality is superb, as always with JBL. It is over-engineered to the max. My only contention is the price. I know JBL invests a huge amount of time, high tech resources and scientific personnel. In this case, you get everything you pay for. If you play theaters, or got the sound contract for a local theater that?s turned to rock-n-roll, the line array is the best way to go.

I've used 2 Pairs of the VRX32LA per side in conjunction with a pair of SRX718S per side. I've used just about everything, EV, Cerwin & Vega, Peavey, Other JBL products, Behringer, Community, and nothing can beat it, in it's class. Buy this and be satisfied.

Have been using these for over a year above srx718 subs. These speakers are amazing. Used inside and out we haven't been able to go full volume ever. Just make sure you power them correctly and then just listen. Will be getting two more for the mains.
