OVERVIEW

Super-portable and convenient PA system that will go where you go, and keep you sounding great.

The PA50 PA System from Kustom combines quality performance and convenient features, all in a highly portable package. You'll find that the PA50 works well in a variety of environments, amplifying vocals, instruments, keyboards, drum machines, audio devices, and more.

The two 4.5" speakers and high-frequency driver provide just the right combination of high and midrange sounds. This balance ensures your vocals cut through the mix while minimizing harsh and unwanted frequencies. The PA50 Construction is based on the same tried-and-true techniques as the rest of our speaker line. This includes a heavy-duty steel grill and rigid corners. This model also utilizes a high-frequency driver for crisp, accurate reproduction of treble frequency and articulate speech.

For the soloist or acoustic duo, the PA50 works well when positioned on a standard speaker stand. As your following grows, so does your sound system; multiple units can be connected to increase the sound coverage in your venue of choice.

I bought two of the tops and two matching Kustom subs about 18 months ago. I have now used the system for a few DJ gigs, mixing for two bands and then using the system for my acoustic/solo gig, where it really shines. I love the punch I get from the Kustom 1x12 - powered subs. This system has not failed once. I have been very pleased. I got it when I could get holiday sales prices where I saved a bundle. I purchased extended/replacement warranty on all pieces. I also purchased the mounting poles and I mount the top cabinets directly to the pole mounts on the subs. I mix thru a Mackie ProFx 12 mixer. It's just a great sounding rig and a great value.

Okay - So I am trying to be generous here. The first unit I recieved had a badly bent speaker frame, blown speaker and bent speaker cage. The second one they sent me made my acoustic guitar sound like a heavy metal player - extremely distorted and overdriven sound. I am an experienced musician and I am used to setting up sound equipment. I never turned the main past 12 o'clock and the channels were never pushed past 12 either. Kustom quality control sucks. On the plus side - the little pa pushes out a LOT of sound. I could see that if it was working properly it would easily support backyard cookout jams and coffee shop gigs. On the plus side - so far MF customer service has been good. I'm going to try one more and hope for the best. Next competitor (Behringer B205D) costs nearly twice as much. I guess you get what you pay for. If you buy one of these - do it in person and check it out thoroughly before. Sadly, I can't recommend.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

This portable PA system completely blows my mind. It has two separate instrument/mic inputs with bass, treble and volume control. Then another auxiliary input with controls as well. The entire package and design will knock you out. It just looks so cool! This PA obviously isn't designed to play large halls but is more than adequate to play a party or a small venue. Kustom rocks!

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

    no complaints
Just received this little PA yesterday, have used it, so far, only a couple of hours. It works great, the amplifier is very quiet, almost no background noise. The volume is plenty for the small speakers, about 5". The pole mount recepticle is handy and it is very easy to carry and mount. It has a handy feature where several of these things can be linked together giving you many input channels. The signal from any one of them is sent to all units in the chain. A few of these, spread out, would be good for a medium sized room if there's not too much noise.
case seems well constucted and sturdy
I don't think you can beat the price

PA / LIVE Sound -- Person

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

My Overall rating would be 9.5 out of 10.0
Purchasaed one Kustom PW50 for the back of the room, for the Minister's Wives Conference 2011.
At the 2010 Conference there was a Comment that the sound (level) was too low @ the back of the
room. This was a "L" shaped room. Well with one PW50 it became apparent that the Little PW50
if not lowered, was Overkill. In fact 2 Kustom PW50 would do well as Mains ( L, and R ), with the addition of Subs.

I would highly recommend this " Little" Powered PA Speaker.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I had one of these and sold it but only because i was in a bind. I need this item NOW and I will probably have 2 of these and a small mixer and yes get a speaker stand set. This is 50 watts and if you play a show with just you and a guitar you have plenty of volume for a solo show or a coffee shop gig. any small venue. This is cool if you use just one of these babies. You carry your guitar, this little PA and a small gig bag with your mic and all your cords and you are in business. You can be set up and ready to play in 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes if you like to do a quick sound check. I played a few shows using just this for my mic and my guitar. Get one of them folding cart s like the old folks use to go grocery shopping. all you do is load all your gear in that and you can roll with your guitar in one hand and your other gear in the cart and you don't have to mess around with making several trips to the car after the gig. The sound is good for a small gig and if you really want to you can hook a bunch of these together. I used a bass amp for a sub and i even used this as a powered monitor. It can be a great addition to your sound system. This is a little versatile unit. If you only want it for a small hurry up and get to the gig or even if you want to busk at a place with power and you are ready to go.

As a jazz guitarist who plays with a trio mainly, wherever I play I usually let people sit in which means I get a lot of singers and Besides my rig I end up bringing more equipment than sometimes the gig is worth.Enter, two pa50s delivered a day before the gig.The gig is at a fairly large restaurant/bar here in Toledo. To my surprise these babies out performed all my expectations with plenty of headroom left over.I ran them backline supplementing a Hammond and also supporting two vocals and they hung right in.Great product!!!

The PA was purchased for homeowner association meetings. It is used in a large hall with 100+ people attending. The little PA is more than up to the task, run at about 1/2 volume. Crisp clear sound and plenty loud. An excellent value. I use a larger 100 watt 2x10 wedge monitor in a band and I think this smaller amp would do just as well.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

Having been singing in churches large & small, theaters and auditoriums (as a Gospel artist) when I decided to add Nursing & Rehab Facilities I found myself with a problem. My current sound system was large, bulky and powerful. It just was not practical. I needed something smaller. While checking the catalog for something smaller I ran across this little Kustom unit. I was pretty skeptical because of its size. I bought it though because it was so inexpensive. What a shock the first time I used it! I found it to be plenty powerful, Great projection & sound quality! I can carry it with one hand! In those small rooms it projected so well. I did find the controls on the BACK difficult to use during performance. I added a small mixer so I could have more control over the sound in front of me. Would not be a problem if no adjustments would be needed. This is highly recommended for those small rooms like a like a nursing room cafeteria or a rehab waiting area. Projects well and has great sound quality. Just remember you are not spending big money on a sound system!! It is exactly what it is it is & exactly as advertised!

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

Bought my first as a solo musician, added a 2nd as the band started to form, and I'm about to add a 3rd.

My ROCK BAND uses ZERO amps. Instruments are plugged right into the mixer (pedals for the electric guitars). The mixer is EQed to "flat" and we let the instruments provide the tone/EQ.

I've had "old-timers" stick their noses up at our rig. Some people believe that you have to have specific instrument amps and tubes and what-not. I've found that the instrument amps are 1) another heavy thing to carry, 2) adjust the tone of the instrument, 3) more complicated to mic to get consistent sounds in the PA/monitors.

Plugging right in and playing out to a "full frequency" PA makes everything easier--and you get the actual tone of the instrument. Why amp everything?

These PA50s are GREAT for reproducing our instrument's sound--and we play ROCK with a LOUD skin-pounding drummer. Everything is clear and glorious.

As we've grown to 5 members, I'm adding a 3rd PA50 just to even out the monitor's sound--but we could get by with 2. They are that loud, and that clear.

My only issue is that they aren't meant to be monitors. They accurately monitor, but don't angle up like a monitor so the sound is directed towards our legs.

          Other than that--FANTASTIC!

As a gigging musician in different formats I was looking for a portable system that could be used in a solo, duo or trio setting. I purchased 2 of these speakers along with a Behringer XENYX 1002FX Mixer and the result is perfect. Load in and out is very easy, and the sound is great.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

This gem is great and the price is right. Light weight, easy set up, crystal clear and perfect for small venues. I plug a PV6 mixer into it to handle all vocals and instruments and use it for vocals, 6 string acoustic/electric guitar, autoharp and to mic harmonicas. It has plenty of punch for small venues. I have only used it for 2 gigs so far so I really don't know how long it will last as far as the construction of the cabinet and how long the electronics will last but seems to be doing what I want it to. Real light weight for bass but what do expect for 4 ½ in. speakers. I have been using a Peavey KB2 for an amp but this unit is app. half the weight and smaller in the physical size. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is the fact that I have only used it twice so don't know exactly how long it will last.

This little guy does it all. I just bought my second one. My church folks use one of them for a keyboard amp in a small meeting room. But I also play solo with it and use it to amp my iPod around the house. Works with my acoustic and my electric equally well. OK, it isn't a Marshall stack or an Acoustasonic but it just plain works well for small venues. I hope they keep building these forever. I plan to always have one around!

I was hesitant to give this product a try, but I was pursuaded to go for it after reading the reviews. Sounds to good to be true.. Its worth trying for such a cheap price, so I bought one.

After a week of enjoyable experience with this amazing PA system, I was so impressed and very satisfied with its performance. I hooked up my two condenser mics as it has phantom power provided, with few tweaking it came out marvelous!

This PA system does not come with a stand, and it also has subwoofer partner (PA112S) option that you have to buy separately.

In all, I will buy another one and have this subwoofer to pair with this dynamite!

I own 2 of these, and have used them for over 100 gigs in the last year - (acoustic, electric guitar & vocals) - Surprising amount of Bass for such a small box, a perfect feature-set - Guitar + vocals + Ipod for breaks... They started as an emergency back-up for my Loudbox amp, but I use these more often. The lack of reverb is not an issue - I love the sound of My Taylor guitar & Nady microphone thru this amp - No EFX, it sounds REAL, my clients always compliment the sound.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

Let's start with the fact that is 100. With that in mind don't expect the sound of Bose or EV. I use it to practice with backing tracks and for that is excellent, more than enough volume (actually I've never gone more than half both individual and master volume) Of course if you abuse the volume with the low frequencies it will rattle, consider the 4.5 little speakers. I know of guys gigging with these, but they are acoustic acts. I haven't tried it yet but I will since I got a second one and I already had a couple of subs (small Behringers). I don't require a lot of volume since I am a soloist with backing tracks and I play both acoustic and electric and I am pretty sure they will perform well since I already set them up at home, tried them and I liked the way they sounded. I know a gig is not "at home" but I checked the settings and still plenty of room to twist around.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I am very limited in my knowledge and experience with sound systems and equipment. I was looking for a speaker to use for solo singing in small venues like nursing homes and such. After reading the reviews I decided to purchase this kustom pa50 along with a shure sm58 microphone. When I got the speaker I was satisfied for the most part and figured it would meet my needs....but I was slightly disappointed to not have any reverb options. (Although i knew that when I bought it)

I decided to see if there was anything I could add to the speaker that would maybe enhance the sound of vocals. Well I came across the Mic Mechanic pedal and purchased that.. So this little gadget was a little more expensive than the speaker itself but I had a good feeling about it. Well, I am pleased to say that I hooked it up directly to the speaker and then plugged my mic in and there you have it...I got the sound effects/reverb I was hoping for! I'm quite impressed! I won't need all of the options on the mic mechanic but it has what I need so it is well worth the investment!

So with all that said, the Kustom PA50 + Mic Mechanic = the perfect little system I was looking for! I'm impressed!

I'm a comedian, and run a weekly comedy show at a pub. The show usually has an audience of about 60 people. When I opened the speaker, it was way smaller than I initially anticipated. I was disappointed, and thought I'd have to send it back. Until I turned it on. This baby packs a punch! I only have to use it at half volume, and it fills the space completely. People are shocked by how loud the speaker gets, and how it still sounds so clear. As soon as I can, I'll be purchasing a second. This is an awesome value!

So cute.... how do they sound so good? Put these with a Digitech Live 3 and stands and they fit the bill perfectly. Very clean amp, surprisingly good sound levels and quality. Solid build & Well thought out design/features ~ just a great speaker that is perfect for so many situations. Thanks Kustom!

This is a very handy unit to have in your tool box. I use mine to practice keyboards, monitor I-Pods/Phones and computers. It will work well with just about anything and I think everyone should have at least one of these.

I bought one of these for my small jazz trio. I play trumpet and use a bell mic which requires Phantom Power. This unit has it built in so I don't need to use a converter device. This rig works so well I bought another one so I could have four mic inputs. VERY happy with the power and performance of these little gems, and setup is a breeze. No external speakers to have to deal with. Our group loves these little speaker/amps.
