OVERVIEW

Super-portable and convenient PA system that will go where you go, and keep you sounding great.

The PA50 PA System from Kustom combines quality performance and convenient features, all in a highly portable package. You'll find that the PA50 works well in a variety of environments, amplifying vocals, instruments, keyboards, drum machines, audio devices, and more.

The two 4.5" speakers and high-frequency driver provide just the right combination of high and midrange sounds. This balance ensures your vocals cut through the mix while minimizing harsh and unwanted frequencies. The PA50 Construction is based on the same tried-and-true techniques as the rest of our speaker line. This includes a heavy-duty steel grill and rigid corners. This model also utilizes a high-frequency driver for crisp, accurate reproduction of treble frequency and articulate speech.

For the soloist or acoustic duo, the PA50 works well when positioned on a standard speaker stand. As your following grows, so does your sound system; multiple units can be connected to increase the sound coverage in your venue of choice.

I bought two of the tops and two matching Kustom subs about 18 months ago. I have now used the system for a few DJ gigs, mixing for two bands and then using the system for my acoustic/solo gig, where it really shines. I love the punch I get from the Kustom 1x12 - powered subs. This system has not failed once. I have been very pleased. I got it when I could get holiday sales prices where I saved a bundle. I purchased extended/replacement warranty on all pieces. I also purchased the mounting poles and I mount the top cabinets directly to the pole mounts on the subs. I mix thru a Mackie ProFx 12 mixer. It's just a great sounding rig and a great value.

Okay - So I am trying to be generous here. The first unit I recieved had a badly bent speaker frame, blown speaker and bent speaker cage. The second one they sent me made my acoustic guitar sound like a heavy metal player - extremely distorted and overdriven sound. I am an experienced musician and I am used to setting up sound equipment. I never turned the main past 12 o'clock and the channels were never pushed past 12 either. Kustom quality control sucks. On the plus side - the little pa pushes out a LOT of sound. I could see that if it was working properly it would easily support backyard cookout jams and coffee shop gigs. On the plus side - so far MF customer service has been good. I'm going to try one more and hope for the best. Next competitor (Behringer B205D) costs nearly twice as much. I guess you get what you pay for. If you buy one of these - do it in person and check it out thoroughly before. Sadly, I can't recommend.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I use this PA50 for duet performances. One vocal mic and one guitar input. I play a HD 28 with a LR Baggs M1A sound hole pickup.. Sound reproduction is accurate and loud.. This unit will cut through most Coffee shop noise without a problem. I will be buying another so my partner can plug her guitar in and use another mic. The PA50 is an excellent value.. I reccomend it to anyone..

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I use this amp for duet performances. I have a single dynamic mic we sing through and I plug my HD28 with a fishman active sound hole pickup into it.. The amp is very loud and true to the acoustic sound of the guitar and vocals. I will be purchasing a second one so my partner can plug her guitar iand a second vocal mic in as well.. It cuts through the noisy evironmant of a coffee house quite well.. For the price this is an exceptional value..

I run a fender mustang and a micro cube thru the 1/8 stereo input provided on the back of this unit and it sounds fantastic. I have not used it for vocals but it will turn a inexpenisive practice guitar amp into a great clean amp with bell type tones.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I perform in both a band and in solo performances, so I looked at these and decided to take a chance, particularly for the price, and worst case, get my money back within the month if I didn't like them.

To be fair, I also added a Kustom subwoofer (another surprising value), and then chained these with my Fishman Solo.

As a solo act, I have recorded background track accompaniment and the sound I now get is simply amazing. Thick, powerful and everyone can hear all the nuances (including me) when I perform. The sound is rich, powerful, without having to be ear-bleedingly loud.

I performed at a recent charity event and got so many compliments how they could hear me clearly wherever they sat, but they could still talk without shouting to each other. The event director loved it!

In my band, I use these as monitors, and my bandmates love it, they hear everything, plus it seems to make the sound richer, due in part to what I am guessing is the sound spread.

At higher sound levels, particularly with certain mics, placement is key. There can be bleeding into each others' mics, with feedback becoming an issue....but experimentation during a sound check always seems to bring out an ideal mix.

When I first set these up, I was only mildly impressed, but as I started to dial in the mixes, I really couldn't be happier. As good as they sound though, to really get a good rich sound, a subwoofer is almost a necessity, unless the performance is in a really small venue (like a coffee shop, etc.).

This is working out good in my small music room. I run a drum track from my smart phone and still have 2 channels to play with. I got a mic mechanic for the effects and it sounds pretty good. I have a powered sub that works but I'm not sure I need it on a regular basis.

Just got it. The unit seemed bigger when I saw it advertised. When I opened the box I thought this thing couldn't possibly do much. Happy to say I was wrong. Granted I am in a small room but everything, including my drum kit sounds great and I have to dial down the volume because it's too much. This unit is both loud and clear. Happy camper over here.

Bought a pair of these to use as an easy set up, easy use sound system. The first event I used them for was at a school in a cafeteria full of 500 screaming kids. They cut through quite nicely. Probably the most efficient use of 50 watts of power you'll find. Not going to give you thunderous bass, with only twin 4 1/2 woofers, but they may still surprise you. Very handy and versatile, the link feature is rather nice.
