OVERVIEW

Super-portable and convenient PA system that will go where you go, and keep you sounding great.

The PA50 PA System from Kustom combines quality performance and convenient features, all in a highly portable package. You'll find that the PA50 works well in a variety of environments, amplifying vocals, instruments, keyboards, drum machines, audio devices, and more.

The two 4.5" speakers and high-frequency driver provide just the right combination of high and midrange sounds. This balance ensures your vocals cut through the mix while minimizing harsh and unwanted frequencies. The PA50 Construction is based on the same tried-and-true techniques as the rest of our speaker line. This includes a heavy-duty steel grill and rigid corners. This model also utilizes a high-frequency driver for crisp, accurate reproduction of treble frequency and articulate speech.

For the soloist or acoustic duo, the PA50 works well when positioned on a standard speaker stand. As your following grows, so does your sound system; multiple units can be connected to increase the sound coverage in your venue of choice.

I bought two of the tops and two matching Kustom subs about 18 months ago. I have now used the system for a few DJ gigs, mixing for two bands and then using the system for my acoustic/solo gig, where it really shines. I love the punch I get from the Kustom 1x12 - powered subs. This system has not failed once. I have been very pleased. I got it when I could get holiday sales prices where I saved a bundle. I purchased extended/replacement warranty on all pieces. I also purchased the mounting poles and I mount the top cabinets directly to the pole mounts on the subs. I mix thru a Mackie ProFx 12 mixer. It's just a great sounding rig and a great value.

Okay - So I am trying to be generous here. The first unit I recieved had a badly bent speaker frame, blown speaker and bent speaker cage. The second one they sent me made my acoustic guitar sound like a heavy metal player - extremely distorted and overdriven sound. I am an experienced musician and I am used to setting up sound equipment. I never turned the main past 12 o'clock and the channels were never pushed past 12 either. Kustom quality control sucks. On the plus side - the little pa pushes out a LOT of sound. I could see that if it was working properly it would easily support backyard cookout jams and coffee shop gigs. On the plus side - so far MF customer service has been good. I'm going to try one more and hope for the best. Next competitor (Behringer B205D) costs nearly twice as much. I guess you get what you pay for. If you buy one of these - do it in person and check it out thoroughly before. Sadly, I can't recommend.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

This portable PA system completely blows my mind. It has two separate instrument/mic inputs with bass, treble and volume control. Then another auxiliary input with controls as well. The entire package and design will knock you out. It just looks so cool! This PA obviously isn't designed to play large halls but is more than adequate to play a party or a small venue. Kustom rocks!

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

    no complaints
Just received this little PA yesterday, have used it, so far, only a couple of hours. It works great, the amplifier is very quiet, almost no background noise. The volume is plenty for the small speakers, about 5". The pole mount recepticle is handy and it is very easy to carry and mount. It has a handy feature where several of these things can be linked together giving you many input channels. The signal from any one of them is sent to all units in the chain. A few of these, spread out, would be good for a medium sized room if there's not too much noise.
case seems well constucted and sturdy
I don't think you can beat the price

PA / LIVE Sound -- Person

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

My Overall rating would be 9.5 out of 10.0
Purchasaed one Kustom PW50 for the back of the room, for the Minister's Wives Conference 2011.
At the 2010 Conference there was a Comment that the sound (level) was too low @ the back of the
room. This was a "L" shaped room. Well with one PW50 it became apparent that the Little PW50
if not lowered, was Overkill. In fact 2 Kustom PW50 would do well as Mains ( L, and R ), with the addition of Subs.

I would highly recommend this " Little" Powered PA Speaker.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

I had one of these and sold it but only because i was in a bind. I need this item NOW and I will probably have 2 of these and a small mixer and yes get a speaker stand set. This is 50 watts and if you play a show with just you and a guitar you have plenty of volume for a solo show or a coffee shop gig. any small venue. This is cool if you use just one of these babies. You carry your guitar, this little PA and a small gig bag with your mic and all your cords and you are in business. You can be set up and ready to play in 10 minutes maybe 20 minutes if you like to do a quick sound check. I played a few shows using just this for my mic and my guitar. Get one of them folding cart s like the old folks use to go grocery shopping. all you do is load all your gear in that and you can roll with your guitar in one hand and your other gear in the cart and you don't have to mess around with making several trips to the car after the gig. The sound is good for a small gig and if you really want to you can hook a bunch of these together. I used a bass amp for a sub and i even used this as a powered monitor. It can be a great addition to your sound system. This is a little versatile unit. If you only want it for a small hurry up and get to the gig or even if you want to busk at a place with power and you are ready to go.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

As a jazz guitarist who plays with a trio mainly, wherever I play I usually let people sit in which means I get a lot of singers and Besides my rig I end up bringing more equipment than sometimes the gig is worth.Enter, two pa50s delivered a day before the gig.The gig is at a fairly large restaurant/bar here in Toledo. To my surprise these babies out performed all my expectations with plenty of headroom left over.I ran them backline supplementing a Hammond and also supporting two vocals and they hung right in.Great product!!!

The PA was purchased for homeowner association meetings. It is used in a large hall with 100+ people attending. The little PA is more than up to the task, run at about 1/2 volume. Crisp clear sound and plenty loud. An excellent value. I use a larger 100 watt 2x10 wedge monitor in a band and I think this smaller amp would do just as well.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

Having been singing in churches large & small, theaters and auditoriums (as a Gospel artist) when I decided to add Nursing & Rehab Facilities I found myself with a problem. My current sound system was large, bulky and powerful. It just was not practical. I needed something smaller. While checking the catalog for something smaller I ran across this little Kustom unit. I was pretty skeptical because of its size. I bought it though because it was so inexpensive. What a shock the first time I used it! I found it to be plenty powerful, Great projection & sound quality! I can carry it with one hand! In those small rooms it projected so well. I did find the controls on the BACK difficult to use during performance. I added a small mixer so I could have more control over the sound in front of me. Would not be a problem if no adjustments would be needed. This is highly recommended for those small rooms like a like a nursing room cafeteria or a rehab waiting area. Projects well and has great sound quality. Just remember you are not spending big money on a sound system!! It is exactly what it is it is & exactly as advertised!

As a gigging musician in different formats I was looking for a portable system that could be used in a solo, duo or trio setting. I purchased 2 of these speakers along with a Behringer XENYX 1002FX Mixer and the result is perfect. Load in and out is very easy, and the sound is great.

Comments about Kustom PA PA50 Personal PA System:

This gem is great and the price is right. Light weight, easy set up, crystal clear and perfect for small venues. I plug a PV6 mixer into it to handle all vocals and instruments and use it for vocals, 6 string acoustic/electric guitar, autoharp and to mic harmonicas. It has plenty of punch for small venues. I have only used it for 2 gigs so far so I really don't know how long it will last as far as the construction of the cabinet and how long the electronics will last but seems to be doing what I want it to. Real light weight for bass but what do expect for 4 ½ in. speakers. I have been using a Peavey KB2 for an amp but this unit is app. half the weight and smaller in the physical size. The only reason I rated it 4 stars is the fact that I have only used it twice so don't know exactly how long it will last.
