I bought one and tried it at a gig on Saturday night. Had no issues and thought the sound reproduction was excellent. Did not try the range more than about 50 feet but worked well! I took it out between sets and charged it just to be sure be that was super easy. I did buy a right angle 1/4" plug to a 1/4" female plug and a 1' straight cord with a coupler on the end to secure it to my guitar strap (velcro) as I didn't feel comfortable with it sticking out from the bottom of my Guitar. (PRS) I just didn't want to bang it on something and damage it. Probably wouldn't be an issue with a Strat. The bass player uses a Line 6 G50. Had no issues with channel selection. I let him choose his channel first then I just plugged in! Worked great!

I was excited to receive my Line 6 Relay G10 I ordered from Musicians Friend the first week of June 2016.
I worked great in my bass guitars and latency was not noticed, I was impressed with the wireless capabilities and ease of use.
I play with a part time bar cover group and It worked fine with all the wireless stuff we have in the band.

THIS UNIT IS NOT ROAD WORTHY.

After the third gig, the unit kept cutting in and out.
It appears the Micro USB input in the back of the base unit that are fragile in nature in most devices with connection-disconnection use, had became loose within the unit and failed all together.
If I may offer a suggestion to re engineer the design of the Relay G10 to incorporate a more durable power input for gigging musicians.
The unit was still under warranty from the seller and I returned it for a refund.
I was contemplating just swapping for another G10 but came to the conclusion that it may have the same issue down the road with a new one.
Line6, Please re-engineer the Relay G10 to incorporate a durable power input.
I'm afraid to reorder a new G10.
Too bad, I loved this Line 6 Relay G10.
Thanks:

Comments about Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

When I purchased this, there was no mention on the website...not even in the owner's guide when I received it...that this system may not work with all guitars so imagine when I got it and plugged it in, that it did not work! Only until diving deep into internet reviews and searches did I find that it may not work on some guitars. It depends upon how your guitar is wired. I thought originally it might be because I bought it for a bass, but that was not the case. There is a remedy, that you can reverse the wiring of your guitar or a more simpler one was that you need a mono quarter inch to quarter inch adaptor, which makes the transmitter stick out further, but it is a quick cheap fix. I was just very frustrated, there was no mention anywhere on this. Good news is, with the adaptor it does work.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

This thing was great until it broke. Be warned the microUSB power port on the base unit is basically designed to fail. Unless you plan on plugging it in permanently, I'd stay clear until V2. I had very little use on mine, plugged it maybe less than 15 times total. We all know that microUSB ports are tricky as hell to connect anyway. This receiving jack is mounted direct to the circuit board and any slight forcing or bending of the plugged in cable will break the prongs off the board and it will either short, or completely break off inside the unit. You can't fix it with just a sodering iron, you will need a new jack and good luck finding one. I'm guessing that it won't be long for this to become a huge issue for units in the field....just wait for it. Also, you cannot use it with some guitars without an adapter plug. Line 6 is very innovative, but unfortunately their quality is probably one of the worse in the industry in my opinion. Currently own the Helix, M20 mixers (2 after one crashed during a performance), Several HD500, Relay wirelesses, M14, and of course this thing. I'm trying to be a good customer, but keep getting burnt.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

This is an awesome, and very long over due, invention. It's simple to use and there is no annoying radio/battery pack that that you have to attach to your guitar strap. It stays out of the way. And, there is need to turn the volume down to transfer it from guitar to guitar, ...it is silent. It is durable. I am very happy with the quality. As a Product Manager in the technology industry myself, I'm surprised that it took so long to get a solution like this to the market. Obviously, judging by the large back order on the initial release, there is a huge demand for it. Based my experience, I highly recommend it. I hope you feel the same after you get one.

I used this widget for practice and for live shows. It really worked great but like some of the other reviewers, my USB power connector is now messed up. I really have to fault Line 6 for the choice of power connector...I just don't think the small USB connector is meant for the rigors of the being on stage. (I don't know of another pedal or effects that use this connector.) Sooner or later someone will step on the USB cable and mess up the connector. I would only recommend this for home use.

Before I bought this I wondered how inconvenient it would be to charge it. Here's what I found. I leave it plugged in after a gig until I have all the other equipment loaded my vehicle. By that time which is about 20 minutes the unit is charged. I also plug it in at my next gig as soon as I arrive just to verify its status. Bottom line: it charges very quick. I've only had it a couple weeks but I played about 10 shows/dances with it and I am very pleased with it so far.

Have only used the system once since I got it and I was impressed with it so far. Can't say anything
negative about it . Would like the option of a 90 degree jack plug on the transmitter. It sticks out enough
from my guitar that I'm afraid I might knock it off if I bump into something.

Why is this thing designed to be powered from USB? It would have made so much more sense to power it from a 9V center negative supply like most pedals. This requires you to have another wall wart on your pedal board.
The devices sticks out pretty far out of bottom jack guitars, it's quite possible it will hit the ground and be damaged if you have a low guitar stand (I used right angle cables when using real cables)

I ordered this in January when it was first ordered.
I didn't receive it until June 8. In June 14th it stopped working. Why? Because it won't charge.. Flashing red light. I suspect a defective battery.
the big problem? they're back-ordered. Who knows when I'll get another.
                  VERY disappointed.

You can grab a y and plug both your Harp and Guitar into it or just swap from one to the other. About one second switch. Wow.

It sounds really good and it's super simple to use. I don't have to worry about buying batteries constantly. I use this to play for a church once a week. I figured that this would last me if I was careful with the back of the micro usb port since I've read reports on this problem. 6 month in it starting to show of loosening. have to move the cable around to make sure it's charging. With the price I paid for, I figured the power source would be rock solid but it's definitely cheaply made. They should look into how the newer cell phones micro usb is made and incorporate it to the G10.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

I've been a wireless baby for decades now, starting in the 1980's. I love the freedom of movement wireless gives me, but the main attraction for me is the reduction in tripping hazards it provides. Trust me, if there's an obstacle available for me to trip over, my foot will find it.

The G10 is not my first digital wireless system. I own and use a Bluetooth-based Ammoon WS-10 setup that cost less than 1/5 as much - and it sounds like it, too. It sustains a signal pretty well, but it introduces a distinct digital hiss that's unpleasant to the ear (and that gets louder when I use it with my Line6 Firehawk FX digital modeling floor effects unit. It's also a tad tricky to get the transmitter and receiver to pair properly (although, on the good foot, that's strictly a one-time procedure).

The Line6 G10 doesn't have either problem. It's dead quiet, and pairing couldn't be simpler: plug the rechargeable transmitter into the receiver/charger base station and they're automagically paired. However, that doesn't mean the G10 is issue-free. For one thing, the micro USB cable from the power supply is only about 4 feet long, so it needs a nearby source of AC power - although I have to commend Line6 for including a wide variety of international AC plug adapters for the wall wart itself. Other reviewers have repeatedly mentioned the fragility of the USB jack on the receiver/charger base station. I haven't toured or even performed with my unit. My application is basically set-and-forget, so I haven't encountered that problem, but, given the frequency of that complaint, I think it's worth taking seriously. Were I to perform frequently with this unit, I'd consider having it modded to provide a full-time, soldered connection between the wall wart and the base station - and I'd definitely lengthen the cable, too.

The transmitter ships with a right-angle adapter to address the issue some people have with their instrument accepting the unit's jack, but that hasn't been a problem for me.

Excited about this product and tried with two Gibson acoustics with LR Baggs Element pups and gets a crazy hum. Worked fine with electric guitars and other acoustics with different pickup systems.

Comments about Line 6 Relay G10 Digital Wireless Guitar System:

This wireless rig is so much easier to use than the more common type that features a belt-clip transmitter. The recharge-in-the-receiver feature is brilliant. This transmitter also mates to the built-in receiver in the larger Line 6 Spider V amps. I experienced a little cutting-out when using a light-duty non-Line 6 power supply for the receiver, but none at all with the supplied power supply. If they had designed the receiver to use 9v power instead of USB, it would go right on your pedalboard, taking power from your daisy chain.
