I have had four of these monitors for 2 years and the HF drivers are blown in each one. They have only seen LIGHT duty and have not been over-powered. The claim that "Peavey's exclusive Sound Guard? IV high-frequency driver protection keeps it high driver safe" is dubious in my opinion as it certainly did not protect mine. Sound quality I would rate as OK at best - certainly have heard much better, but not at this price. Cabinet is solid, no problems w/ the 12" speakers as of yet. I did notice when I was taking the grill off to replace the drivers that I had some bent screws from the factory.  The plastic nuts that hold the input jacks are very cheap and break very easily.  Bottom line: you get what you pay for. Next time around, I would certainly get a different brand and save up to buy something of higher quality.

We bought a pair of these to replace a pair of Yamaha 15" Club series that a departing band memeber took with him and feel like we got the better end of the deal. Better sound on stage and lighter at the end of the night when your packing up. We'll be getting another pair soon.

The price is really good for these monitors but Peavey really skimped on the horn drivers for these. They blow very easily. We use these with QSC GX5's which are perfectly matched power-wise, but the horn drivers are below par. I have found that many other people are having the same problem as well. After some runaround in trying to rectify the problem we just decided to replace the drivers. After dropping in some Selenium D220Ti-8 drivers these monitors now perform really good AND they sound much better. After pulling the original driver (which is some inferior after market no-name brand driver. Boo, Peavey!!!) we couldn't get over how cheap the stock drivers are compared to what we'd installed. BIG difference. If you are going to go with these monitors make sure to do some research on replacement drivers. At least have some on hand if the stock drivers fail as it only took about 15 min to install the new drivers. I do recommend those Selenium drivers. The monitors themselves are a good price, but I would have rather paid an extra $50 for better stock components (which is roughly what it cost to retrofit each one after the fact). In retrospect, I would have rather gotten some Yamahas instead. These Peaveys are working fine now, but I will not buy Peavey ever again after seeing what inferior components they put inside their product.
