OVERVIEW

Enhanced PV Series mixer now with Bluetooth connectivity.

Peavey Electronics introduces the next level in world-class non-powered mixer performance: the all-new PV series mixing consoles. Equipped with Peavey's reference-quality mic preamps that spec in at an incredible 0.0007% THD, the PV series mixers are excellent for live or recording applications.

The PV series mixers include up to 8 channels of reference-quality mic preamps, up to 8 direct outputs for recording, stereo channels, media channel with Bluetooth wireless input, high quality digital effects, streaming USB out and MP3 playback via USB A input. Other features include 48 volt phantom power, dual selectable control room outputs, 4 channels of compression, an on-board selectable guitar preamp, 3-band EQ per channel with bypass, channel mute buttons, aux send, signal clip indicators, and a stereo master LED meter bridge.

Features such as Bluetooth allow seamless connection to almost any "smart" device. Multiple direct outs per channel allow easy connection to most DAW interfaces for recording. In addition, the PV mixers can stream audio directly to a PC. MP3 playback is also available via USB A port and LCD display. All PV Series mixers also feature a tablet cradle to hold a smart device for convenient display and easy operation.

The PV series Listen feature allows the user to listen to individual channels via headphone or control room outputs and the EQ bypass allows the user to compare the EQ'd signal to the original signal with the push of a button. Multiple channels of compression keep signals with difficult levels under control, and Peavey's exclusive guitar-shape adjusts the EQ and preamp specifically for guitar. Hi pass filters on every channel remove unwanted rumble and noise, and balanced AUX and Master outputs ensure a clean noise free signal to your powered speakers or power amplifier.

Comments about Peavey PV 6 BT Mixer with Bluetooth:

This is my first review on hundreds of instrument purchases. I am blown away by this product at this price. I have a larger, more expensive mixer that is awesome but I have been doing solo shows so I wanted something that I could throw in my gig bag and eliminate a case. I thought I would try the PV 6 BT fully expecting at that price it would not be that good and I might send it back. I was especially concerned with the lack of graphic EQ on the outputs. Boy was I wrong. I plugged this thing up with my QSC speakers and wow, it immediately sounded great, I love the EQ, it is very intuitive and tuned to just the way that I like my voice,(without a graphic). The effects are clean and although there is not much adjustment of parameters, they have them dialed in very nicely. The global compressor is great, it has allowed me to take the compressor off the pedal board for my acoustic guitar. It is solid, all metal, the pots feel solid, and the Bluetooth is nice. It allows me to play my music from my phone during breaks. Peavey has done a great job on this one and the price is less then a stomp box.

Comments about Peavey PV 6 BT Mixer with Bluetooth:

Lately I've been convalescing. The PV6BT allows me the luxury of a home studio in bed until I'm back up to snuff. Using this with a Traveler Speedster guitar and a Audio Technica Pro 8HEX headset mic acquired from Musciansfriend open box deals. Hooked up an old pair of Sony MDR-V6 headphones and an obsolete Huawei tablet with Bluetooth to complete the system. The PV6BT has a 1/4 inch jack on channel one that is switchable for mic or guitar so it was trivial to connect the Speedster. The headset mic was standard XLR and plugged into channel two. Headphones connected tight and the Bluetooth (inputs 5/6) paired up the tablet as expected. After adjusting the Gain and Level for each channel, I queued up a blues backing track and jammed away. The input noise levels are low enough to be undetectable and the reverb effects are clean and useful. Fit, finish and components seem to be top quality. However, the Bluetooth lamp seems too bright and the unit feels a little heavy... minor inconveniences based on the satisfaction the PV6BT delivers.

Comments about Peavey PV 6 BT Mixer with Bluetooth:

Excellent Bluetooth! Bulletproof reliablility. My line 6 AMPLIFi has horrible almost non-existent Bluetooth. The peavey bt has never failed and the mixer is otherwise what you would expect at the price point. Great sounds and decent effects/compressor. After 6 months it's going great interfacing with Ableton and running a small hiome studio. Cannot say enough about the great overall reliability, and finally a reliable Bluetooth interface.
