Comments about Sennheiser evolution e914 Condenser Instrument Microphone:

I bought 4 of these, two weeks ago. Great mic. One of the best condensers I've bought and well worth it. I use two of them to mic the upright piano at my church. Previously I had been using the Shure SM81 which is a very good mic as well. But the e914 had more presence. To me the Shure SM81 is better for cymbals, percussion, etc. Also the e914 is better for acoustic guitar, it's less boomy than the SM81. Plus, the 3-position sensitivity switch is fantastic, it will certainly come in handy down the road.I gave it a 5 for features for this. Overall it isa great investment for me. Still, like the SM81 but for other things.
