Great grill. I bought this as a replacement for my beta58 (which costs $49.00). The $8 cost for this unit was a no brainer. It fit no problem, my only complaint is, its not a direct replacement for the beta 58, the blue rubberband doent transfer to this grill. But who cares? It fits, just wont have the blue strip that the beta is identified by.

The grills on sm58's are actually supposed to dent on contact to protect the rest of the microphone, kind of like a car does to protect you. With that said, they are well designed, it's nice to have back ups if you care about how your microphone looks. Better to replace the grill than the entire mic.
