The Stedman Proscreen 101 microphone pop filter uses an extremely effective professional pop-eliminator for vocal applications with an attached 13" flexible goose neck with adjustable clamp. This clamp allows the PS101 to be attached to any microphone stand or boom while allowing easy positioning of the screen with the flexible goose neck.

I'm in the middle of a mixing session.. and the singer is asking me to edit out the beginnings of every "p" word cause she feels like the sound "popped" too much.. and it did.. because of this filter... it's the metal.. the metal adds treble to the air passing through it and it's emphasized.. where as the cheaper "less quality" pop filters do not brighten up the wind they filter... do NOT use this at close distances because it DOES color the sound... not the timber of the voice, but the P's and FFF's and any air that passes through this metal pop filter is brighter than it would be through a regular fabric pop filter.. it's perfect as long as your mouth isn't too close... but, 90% of the time, vocalists are right up on it and because it's metal, it's working against it's very function...
this is what i get for trying to be cool & on the cutting edge... Just letting everyone know!

This little screen is the best pop filter I've ever used. It does exactly what it says....it directs the air from the plosives downward and there is very, very little(if any) coloration of the sound. Just as good as the Royer 101 (it's the exact same thing as far as I can tell). Definitely worth the extra nickels ans dimes to get it. Highly recommended.
