Simple plug and play phaser. Sounds good, easy on the wallet, built ford tough. My only complaint is the placement of the 9v port, it's right below the input on the right side of the pedal, can be awkward. I dont know why mxr does that.

I bought this phaser to use on my bass pedal board thinking i was gonna use it on the slowest and fastest setting with my russian big muff during the guitar solos to fill in the void of not having a second guitarist, and well i use it alot more than i expected, the rest of the band loved what it added to my bass that we have written 3 songs(more coming) with me by myself in parts just rocking the phaser alone and with the big muff. This little beast takes up no space on the board and packs a punch. Only complaint is always use a one spot power supply or the like, because if using the battery when the battery gets low it will turn on but the pahse is then very week, happened to me i thought i was gonna have to buy a new pedal, i was gonna get the small stone nano from ehx, i bought a one spot plugged it in the phase 90 problem fixed

as you can tell, there is one control... speed. and its great. the big knob is great for turning with your foot in the middle of a live song, just be careful not to unintentionally hit it. great buy, incredible sound

I use this on my bass pedalboard. It produces a great phaser sound, but too much for bass. The big problem is, there is no effect level, or clean/effect level control. It's either 100% phaser sounds or nothing. Also, my footswitch nut was loose. Some Lok-tite and a wrench fixed that.

I play alot of Pink Floyd and have designed my rig around what Gilmour has used. When it came to getting the Wish You Were Here album tones the Phase 90 was a logical choice and from experience with MXR products the quality has always been wonderful. This pedal, not so much. I tried it out before any purchase decision, plugging a Strat into it and with the pedal disengaged there was bleed through. No true bypass! Aside from that, the pedal is incredibly agressive. There's no silky smooth sound to it as heard on the recordings of the 70's. If you're looking to pick up a phaser, look at a Small Stone by EHX. After this experience, an EHX Small Stone will grace my pedal board. The Small Stone is far more organic and smooth, slight volume drop aside.
