OVERVIEW

9000 Pedals offer drummers an unequaled combination of speed, feel and power.

Drummers asked for a longer footboard and DW listened. The 9000 XF is here with an Extended Footboard that is an inch longer than the standard version of the pedal. Other than the longer footboard, it is identical to the standard-length version with all the great new updated features.

Since their inception, 9000 Series pedals with Floating Rotor and Infinitely Adjustable Cam technology have given players the flexibility and versatility to take their footwork to the next level. Even so, DW thought it was time to make some improvements. Introducing the upgraded 9000 and 9002. Both the 9000 and 9002 pedals now feature the Tri-Pivot Toe Clamp System and Non-Slip Rubber Grip Base Plate for increased stability and a stronger connection between the drummer and kick drum.

In addition, DW added an EZ Adjust Cam to allow drummers to switch from Accelerator to Turbo-style sprockets, or anywhere in between, in no time. The same unmistakable feel, playability and artist-approved features, only better.

FEATURES
  • Extended footboard (1" longer)
  • Infinite adjustable cam
  • Floating swivel spring

Comments about DW 9000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal with eXtended Footboard:

Let me start off by saying that i wasn't in the market for another pedal. I was using a Tama Speed Cobra pedal and i loved it. My playing style called for a long foot board because i play a lot of heel/toe beats and the Speed Cobra made it easy. I played a few DW 9000 pedals and loved the smoothness but really didn't care for it because of short foot board. After seeing that they had a long board pedal, well i just had to give it a try. After receiving the pedal hooked it up right away.. Didn't adjust it or anything and holy cow..!!! i was beyond words..!! it was perfect and smooth and was a complete joy to play..!! Don't get me wrong, I love my Speed Cobra pedal but this pedal is far more superior.. I have the matching Speed Cobra hi-hat stand and now i will be getting the matching DW 9000XF hi-hat stand. The quality is top notch and playing this pedal is awesome..!! If you get the chance, give this pedal a try.. I promise you will not be dissappointed..!!!

Comments about DW 9000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal with eXtended Footboard:

Best pedals I've ever played. The extended foot board is great, allows for a lot more power over the regular 9000. They're a bit pricey, but worth every penny.

Comments about DW 9000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal with eXtended Footboard:

I have been playing DW 5000 pedals for over 20 years. I've been looking at upgrading to a 9000 for quite some time and was excited about features like the adjustable cam, floating drive shaft, tri-pivot toe clamp, all combined with past DW innovations like the Delta ball bearing hinge and double chain drive.

This pedal is crazy smooth and solid playing. I almost have too many way adjust and should just set it and play it for a while.

The most noticeable improvement for me was the XF extended footboard. I have a size 13 foot and have been playing standard pedals my whole life. I didn't even realize how uncomfortable my heel was hanging off the edge of the heel casting until I played this pedal the first time. What a difference!

Overall I really dig this pedal and would recommend it to anyone, Especially drummers with large feet. The past 20 years I've only owned DW pedals, I've played other brands on friends kits and was usually unimpressed.

Comments about DW 9000 Series Single Bass Drum Pedal with eXtended Footboard:

I play professionally in a Christian Jazz Trio and with church worship bands. I have used DW5000 pedals for over 30 years. However, I have a size 13 foot and I play heel down style. I was looking for an extended length pedal and when DW came out with the PDP Concept pedal (see my review on this website) I purchased one to see if I really liked the long footbed style. I ended up using it instead of my DW5000 as it complemented both the style of music and my heel down playing. However, after a while I missed the smoothness and speed of the DW5000 and decided to go ahead and take the plunge with the DW9000 XF model. All I can say is these are truly worth the money. The first thing you notice is the incredible smoothness my DW5000 feels almost clunky in comparison. This smoothness then contributes to controllability allowing your playing technique to really come out. Subtle grace notes, doublets and triplets are shockingly easy and the speed you can generate is almost frightening. If you are looking for a long footbed pedal that is amazingly controllable and will allow your footwork to really blossom, I highly recommend the DW900 XF.
