Comments about ChopSaver Lip Balm for Musicians:
i've used chopsaver for years and already wrote a positive musician's friend review. but recently i played four concerts in four days, a workshop, and way too many rehearsals. as an amateur, that could have done me in. but when my lips started fighting me, i soothed them with chopsaver, and on we went. plus- musician's friend has the best price, by far.
Comments about ChopSaver Lip Balm for Musicians:
good to have found the best price at musician's friend. fast service, too.
i discovered chopsaver a few years ago and found it to be a great product. when i ran out recently, i switched to a regular lip balm, but my bassoon reed got waxed up. i was put off by its cost and shipping expense though, so it was great to find it at musician's friend at the best price. yay.
no more chapped or dry lips with chopsaver.
the only product for a reed/double reed player to use.
Comments about ChopSaver Lip Balm for Musicians:
This is a great product. I have been using ChopSaver for at least a year now. I would venture to say that every brass player should have a tube or two in their case. It really is a chop saver after those brutal practices and performances.
ChopSaver is a great tool to keep in your trumpet/trombone/horn/tuba case. I use it before and after most of my heavy practices to keep my lips from swelling.
What can I say, it does what its advertised to do. It prevents bruising and over-swelling of the lips after those brutal practices and performances. And believe it or not, I have noticed I can play a little longer on days I use it. It stimulates blood flow in the lips, prevents swollen lips, and by doing that, it increases endurance. (slightly, don't expect to play even 30 minutes longer than normal, I practice with a college marching band, and the difference is wearing out in the last 10 minutes without chop saver, and still being able to play with a good sound by the end of practice with chopsaver)
