Comments about Yamaha Professional 577H Series Flute Offset G:
I'm a dedicated amateur musician who was looking to upgrade to a better quality flute (I was playing an Emerson from 1997) and preferably one with an offset G to help alleviate some carpal tunnel issues. I've had my Yamaha for about two weeks now and so far I'm very pleased! It has a full, even tone through all registers and it was very easy to find my "sweetspot" on the type Am headjoint. This flute also has a very smooth mechanism, making fast passages a breeze, and seems to be very ergonomically designed, as it is much more comfortable to play than my old flute and I've noticed fewer problems with my carpal tunnel after practice sessions. I would strongly recommend this flute to anyone looking for a high quality instrument!
