I wish there was a 7 and a half... It holds my guitars as marketed. When holding up my bass guitar, the metal plate gently pushes into the drywall-- que sera, I'll have to patch it anyways eventually when I move. One minor complaint is that it doesn't swivel to accommodate my fender headstock, so I had to 'pre-swivel' the yoke when placing the fender into its home.
No frills to speak of. I did remember stripping one of the screws, but I also remember there being an extra one for whatever reason [shrug].. I wish that the yoke would pivot a little more smoothly like on the one's in the guitar store... I think they were string swings.
Has held up quite nicely

They are a good hanger, and they project far enough from the wall to hang almost all string instruments. The only thing I didn't like was the fact that the threads were very loose, and would easily strip out. I solved this problem by drilling & tapping to a larger thread size.

installed quick! was a little worried at first the the threads where not deep enough to hold my les paul, which is pretty heavy, and would just pull out of the wall. But its been hanging on the wall for a couple weeks now and it hasn't moved an inch.

I bought seven of these. They work great. Very easy to put on the wall and they hold guitars, mandolins, banjos. Definitly worth the money. Strang and sturdy. I guess you can spend 15-20 on a wall hanger, but these work just as well.

It's sturdy, installs fast, but you need a different anchor for mounting on plaster walls without a stud behind the wall. The plastic anchor supplied disintegrates when screwed into plaster.
