OVERVIEW

Heavenly feel. Wickedly fast.

The Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive is a bass drum pedal that was engineered to create the most seamless link between the player's musical ideas and their execution on a bass drum. Whether seeking to deliver lightning-fast blast beats or deep, rock-solid grooves, this Pearl pedal offers the adjustability to maximize your playing in any style.

Play a Demon Drive and the first thing you'll notice is its smoothness and speed that comes through the use of ultra-precise hardware components. Self-aligning spherical bearings are used to insure the footboard and Direct Link Drive are always in perfect alignment, and special super high speed Ninja bearings on the axles all work in perfect sync to create one of the smoothest and fastest kick drum pedals on the planet.

The most unique feature of the Demon Drive pedal is Pearl's exclusive Duo-Deck, the world's first convertible footboard. Through a simple adjustment, the Pearl Demon Drive pedal can be adjusted from a traditional shortboard to a longboard pedal in seconds, offering a slightly lighter, quicker feel that is the preferred setup when speed is a necessity.

This drum pedal includes the world's first two-position Beater Stroke Adjustment and two-position Direct Link Adjustment. Both adjustable features allow the player to create a slightly lighter or heavier feel of the pedal depending on their preferred setting. Adjusting the Duo-Deck in combination with the Beater Holder and Direct Link Adjustments yields 8 possible Pedal Configurations, allowing the player to truly create their ideal drum pedal configuration.

More key features include a Click Lock Spring tension system that prevents the tension knob from loosening. An Adjustable Traction Plate, which has aluminum traction dots that are fully adjustable to vary the amount of slip or grip for your playing. Its footboard height adjustment capability enables drummers to loosen and rotate the footboard to desired height. And finally the Pearl Eliminator Demon comes standard with a road case to protect it from the wear and tear of travel.

Ok I fell for the hype. My Pearl 2000C pedal is way better. The feel of the pedal is not like they hyped up. I tried the settings right out of the case and they were terrible. I have been messing with this pedal ever since and with no luck. The price is steep for a pedal that so is not worth it. I should have waited but I fell for the hype.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

I've had this for 1 year & waited to write this review even though i knew it was great from day 1. I dont trust a review that say's (I've had it a week & it's great or terrible) use the product then tell us about it. SO HERE GOES. I've never played a pedal that felt like an extension of my body until i played the PEARL DEMON DRIVE. This pedal is nothing short of amazing, infinitley adjustable does'nt explain how great this pedal truly is. It's cool to just look at, then put your foot on and it and it's Love at first....kick, Drumming never felt sooo good. I dont know anything about skateboards but these NINJA BEARINGS are awesome. As for the price i'm a firm believer in "you get what you pay for" & this is worth every cent. If your a serious drummer you owe it to yourself to own this incredible pedal. Thanks Pearl for another QUALITY product

If Your A Drummer In Search of Different Kick Drum Tones... Get This Pedal!!!

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

I have been using this Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive pedal for several months now, and I couldn't be happier. I am a single pedal bass drum player who drops his foot on the kick drum like a brick hitting concrete. It has always been difficult for me to achieve different kick drum tones because I always hit the kick so damn hard. This pedal solved all of that. Because it has sooo many different ways you can adjust the force, speed and intensity of the pedal, I don't have to change the way I play my kick drum. When I'm playing in my jazz/blues band I can switch my pedal to attack the kick drum very lightly, or when I'm doing the big rock show I can adjust it to hit the kick drum harder than hell, ALL without changing the force my foot drops on the pedal, all the mechanics of the demon pedal do the work for me. If your a drummer like me, or if your a drummer in search of physically expressing that kick drum tone thats in your head, get this pedal.

This pedal is THE BOMB!!

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

I've never played with a pedal so smooth! I've played chain-drives, strap-drives and other direct drives. I just moved from a Pearl eliminator and the Demon blows it away. Triplets and quads are no problem with it (with some practice of course). It's also infinitely adjustable - from a light jazz touch to a heavy rock drumming feel. You definitely WON'T be disappointed with this Pearl if you can get your hands on one!

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

The smoothest pedal out there right now!
Made this purchase to replace a Pearl regular double pedal. With the various amounts of adjustments, this pedal becomes made for you. Extremely responsive and fast. I'm able to do everything on a single demon that I was doing with the older double pedal. The only negative I have is the soft beater that is included, I will be purchasing the optional wood beater. This pedal does come with a case for moving from home to gig with another kit.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

I have played DW 5000's and Sonor pedals and this is by far the smoothest pedal I have ever played. It's a little pricey but if your a serious player it's worth every penny!

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

Absolutely amazing. Smooth as silk and fast as lightning. It is the greatest thing my foot has ever touched. Pardon my hyperbole, but I put aside my beloved Iron Cobras to give this a shot. 2 days after this pedal came, I put my IC's up for sale.

Understand that the Iron Cobras are chain driven, while these are direct drive, so they are really two different animals. But I have played other direct drives and always gone back to the IC's. Not this time. My foot has never moved so fast or played so easily. They are expensive, but I haven't been this happy with a purchase since I bought my first Zildjian A Custom. Both brought an immediate improvement of sound to my playing.

I will be saving up to purchase the double pedal version also.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

This pedal is fantastic! I have been playing a DW 5000 and felt it was time for a change. At first I was sure a DW 9000 would be my next purchase but after doing a little research this Demon Drive really peaked my interests. I was especially impressed with the idea of being able to convert the pedal from short board to long board form, because I've been wanting to try out a long board but wasn't sure if I'd like it. With this pedal you can try out the long board option and if you don't like it you can change it back! Switching from a chain drive to direct drive scared me a little too because so many people say there is a long learning curve involved; let me just go ahead and tell you right now ITS NOT. This pedal blows away my DW in terms of smoothness and speed and there was no long learning curve involved. Immediately after adjusting the pedal to my liking (which is easy to do with this pedal) and playing with it, I was able to play patterns that normally require quite a lot of effort with ease. Some people complain about the price of this pedal but when you figure in all the adjustments that can be made, the ability to convert form short board to long, and the ability to go from a single pedal to a double the value is clearly there. It pains me to say it being a DW guy but this pedal is just simply more advanced than anything else out there right now. You will not be disappointed if you buy this product

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

Pearl hardware has done it again. I'm not a big fan of their drums, but their pedals are top notch. I have own the demon drive for a while now. I love the fact that there are so many adjustments you can make. Changing from a short board to a long is one feature that sold me. This pedal is also light compared to my iron cobras. I do suggest changing out the beater if you want a lighter beater. The one that comes with this pedal is good, but I like lighter beaters for more control. Don't let the price tag scare you, this pedal is worth every penny. To the reviewer that said Axis is better clearly didn't spend enough time with this pedal. This pedal is better than Axis in so many ways.

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

I purchased the Demon Drive about a month ago in order to replace my Tama Iron Cobra. Originally, I was slightly skeptical of the Demon Drive. I really haven't had many good experiences with Pearl equipment and the price tag on the Demon Drive seemed to be slightly outrageous. However, I decided to take a chance with it (was able to reduce the price of the pedal by 100 dollars through gift cards and coupons). Once I made some slight tweaks to the pedal (took about 20 minutes), I was completely floored at how smooth and responsive the pedal is. It totally beats the Iron Cobra hands down! Don't get me wrong. I have always been a fan of Tama products, but have always been dismayed at the fact that they never made a direct drive IC pedal.

I had heard fantastic things about this pedal from many friends and finally got to try one out today. I found it to be a bit laggy, despite all the hype of it being so fast. Now don't get me wrong. It is a good pedal. But it's not as amazing as everyone says it is. I'm sticking with my Iron Cobras.

          I own the single

By Total Bugs Bunny on Wild Bass

          from New Zealand

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

Straight out of the box this thing was impressing me, which isn't easy. I've owned the dw 9000 double and single, the Yamaha flying dragon as well as the original Eliminator (I know , total gear geek). Its probably logical to compare it first to the best pedal on the market at the moment, the dw 9000. What I liked about the Demon Drive first off was that you could feel the footboard under your foot the whole time, at any given speed or dynamic level. When I say feel, I mean there is enough resistance to take just the right amount of weight off your leg, whereas the 9000's, however fast and responsive they were, are just a little bit too "not there". Secondly it looks amazing, the chrome slip plate compliments the rest of the pedal, it just looks like its flying at 300bpm even when inanimate. The speed of this thing is made easier to take advantage of because you can always FEEL precisely where you in each stroke, which for me is perfect because I like to do alot of fast doubles and triplets on my pedal. I would own one of these over any other pedal on the market today. Period.

            By George A. Hamilton

            from Harrisburg, PA

Comments about Pearl Eliminator Demon Drive Pedal:

I've tried a few different pedals: DW 5000, DW 9000, Tama Iron Cobra, Axis. Trying to get the right feel for me. I was impressed the most with Axis for it's smooth action and speed. I felt there was no other pedal for me. Until I tried the Pearl 300D Demnon. It has more adjustability than my Axis, while giving me a little more resistance while playing. I would recommend it to any drummer who has a fast enough foot not to need or want a double pedal.

When I bought this pedal I was one of the first to own it in Africa. I bought it because I could convert it from a longboard to a shortboard. I really like how everything you could possibly want to adjust can be adjusted like: footboard height, beater travel distance and the feel of the pedal, heavy or light and finesse or power. This pedal is very expensive though, but for all the features, I believe it's worth it. It's smooth and tactile and is built like a tank so it won't let me down at a gig. It is simply the best pedal in the world.
