I been using this amp for a month. The best part is, I am playing more! I am taking this thing everywhere! I read the reviews here first, and decided to go ahead and and get the Fender Mini Twin. The tone from the really small speakers is usable. As others have stated, not a lot of volume on clean tone, however, just cracking open the overdrive, boost the volume, and sounds good and pretty clean to me. I found the 9V battery is fairly short lived, maybe 6 hours before the sound degrades badly through the speakers. With headphones, the sound is very good, and seems to have longer battery time. Headphones have plenty of volume, very good tone adjustment, much better then the speakers put out, cant expect much from 2-2" speakers. I would suggest obtaining an AC adapter to use when possible. I like to use this little amp when working on vocals, has the right volume for that, and not bothering others in the house. I took the time to write this, because I think its a useful tool, and, well, a pretty neat toy.

Well I got this little amp for christmas and im going to store once they open to return it. The product is constantly making this noise like electricity static or something. It sounds like fluorescent lights noise, which makes it impossible to enjoy the music that you play. When I use it with my acoutstic guitar(maverick acoustick pickup), I have to turn the volume half way to hear anything come out of it.

          57 Mini Twin Amp

          By CRAIG JOHNSON

          from California

Comments about Fender '57 Mini Twin Amp:

I needed a small amp to practice in my den, that would not disturb anyone else. Some of the time, I am using the guitar and amp to practice along with my gutiarjamz instructional DVD's. Overall this a great and useful piece of equipment.
Great features for a small amp.
Unbelievable quality for a small amp.
Great amp at a great price.

          Fender Mini Amp

          By Donald Johnson

Comments about Fender '57 Mini Twin Amp:

          Great little practice amp
This is exactly what I was looking for. Nice clean tone. I wish it would have come with an AC adapter. The 9V last about 6 hours as stated in one of the previous reviews. You would think for the price they could throw on in.
          Very well made. Enough said.
Like I stated earlier, it should come with the AC adapter.

          Good n Nasty

          By Link-.Fahs

          from Arizona

Comments about Fender '57 Mini Twin Amp:

I like the look, tweed old school knobs. It is plenty loud and it puts out that good tradtional Fender tube sound. No statics or popping electronics. Good solid build.
Good little amp with clean to nasty in a good little unit. Got plenty of volume.
          Seems solid in construction
OK, ALL these little amps seem a bit over priced. I mean for about 50 more bucks, you can plug into a real A/C amp...but taking the fact they all seem high priced, this is a good value for the money.

          Marvelous!

          By Don

          from Maryland

Comments about Fender '57 Mini Twin Amp:

I ended up buying two of these amplifier because I was so impressed with the sound and portability. It obviously does not have the sound or power of a standard Fender Twin Reverb, but it does provide very satisfactory sound by itself, and even better with a touch of reverb added. It's also fantastic using headphones for private practice.
I wanted some portable amplification and decided to try the Mini Twin-Amp. I was not expecting too much from it, but was shocked at how good it actually sounds with only two little speakers in it! I plug my guitar into a Boss '63 Fender Reverb pedal and then into this little amp and am amazed at just how good it sounds. It's a fantastic little amplifier! I liked it so much that I ordered another one! It performs well with single coil or humbuckers.
It's well made and user friendly. It's made like a regular Fender amp, just many times smaller and lighter....and 100% portable! The quality of the sound is surprisingly good!

          What fun

          By JAY FORD

          from Rawlins, Wy.

Comments about Fender '57 Mini Twin Amp:

The first Fender Mini Twin shipped had a defective power switch, but after a painless exchange I recieved a working unit. A totally random setting yielded a dead on "What's the Frequency Kenneth" overdrive buzz. Getting clean Buck Owens Tele tone took a little experimentation. It wouldn't be fair to compare this amp to our better, larger tube amps, but if taken in proper perspective of an amp with 2" speakers its worth every cent I paid. Its a great deal for a motel life style or just the fun of playing at low levels. I've had enough fun with the Mini Twin to consider starting a collection of mini amps.

          '57 mini twin

          By gut stringer

          from new orleans

Comments about Fender '57 Mini Twin Amp:

Have a Dean Markley pickup stuck to my concert ukulele and it is the funniest thing you ever heard. Turn the overdrive up a little and I sound like a hard rocker with a stuffy nose. Recommend this amp to any Uke player with a pickup, especially if you have Aquilla real gut strings(no cat). You will get great sound. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THE MARKLEY "STICK-ON" PICKUP. Doesn't stick well and the cable is too sensitive. Touch it and you will hear it through the amp at any volume setting. I also do not recommend taking the amp apart. I did this to check out the quality and was very impressed with a Chinese built mini amp. Looks like it was hand built in USA and should cost at least $150. I own the Danelectric mini amp and there is no comparison with the quality. Don't get me wrong the Danelectric does sound good, did not take it apart but I didn't have to. The Fender took longer to get back together than it did taking it apart. All wood, chrome steel, real vintage fabric, leather handle, real nice circuit board design, very good soldering, and actually has two speakers. Thought I was going to see crap when opening it up.
