I can't believe some of these negative nabobs of nonsensical and non-qualified naysaying idiots. This is a 1 (one) watt battery operated amp!!!!!!! It's fantastic for what it is, IS. It does EVERYTHING as advertised and does it very well. You can't get a Fender Deluxe for this price. You can't get 15, or 16 or 18 or 22 watts of clean/dirty and warm tube sweetness from this amp but you can get everything you expect from it providing your expectations are in real world parameters and diametrics. Go away, aliens, just go away. Your input in these matters are useless and only ignorantly spirited. I love this little amp. It's all and more than I ever expected or could possibly hope for.

Took a chance on this and purchased it without every playing it. Watched video reviews on it and gave it a shot.

Yes, I know that it's small in size, smaller than a kids lunchbox but I hoped it'd produce quality sound and what I got was muddy sounds at increased volumes. It's not clear sounding and my goal to play through an amp is to sound good and I felt if I actually played this in front of people, the muddyness would make me sound amateurish.

So, for what you pay for this, yes, you get amplified but it's not real great quality, unless you're a metal player because you don't get a clean sound from this.

I rate this 3 stars because it's convenient to have a portable battery operated tiny amp that you can plug into and get sound from, however, the quality almost makes you not even want to play it.

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

Well when I asked for this amp for christmas I only asked for it because it's cheap, and I had a 300 dollar limit for christmas and I needed an amp. I didn't care to read the demensions so when I opened it up I was shocked at how mini it really was. So i put in the batteries and plugged in my new les paul and I was instantly shocked. It sounded fantastic and it's suprisingly loud for it's size, but it can also be quiet enough not to wake people up at night. I love this little amp! Buy it, u won't be disappointed!!!

A Word To All The Naysayers!

    By reign

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

If your buying this amp as your initial amp purchase i suggest buy a real practice amp w/ all the bells & whistles you need. For the other naysayers who do own mid to high end amps, let's not compare this to our plexis, AC30s, or 57 twins as far as sound quality goes and see it as it really is, a collectible...something cool looking to put in a display case, and it happens to also be a real working amp. I use this when i'm too lazy to plug in my practice amp, or if im just writing new material or practicing solos... i dont expect it to do much more than amplify my sound to a decent degree and as eye candy...it is what it is and its a work of art.

Cool little Deluxe. If you are expecting it to sound like a 2x12, buy a 2x12 amp. If you want something small and cool to talk about then here you go. This is more of a conversation piece than an amp, but it works! Sounds really good for a 2" speaker. Great for playing on while watching TV or even using headphones. Awesome Deluxe!!!

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

I bought this amp because my 4x10 Hot Rod Deville is way too loud to play in the house. When I saw this I had to have it because it's like mini me for the Hot Rod. When I heard the sound I was shocked. It's great for sitting around and practicing. The fingers aren't what they use to be so I prefer electric over acoustic these days. It's really crunchy the clean channel isn't very loud but all in all I totally recommend this little guy. Especially if you own a Hot Rod it's like having a cool little replica for the shelf that actually works. Don't expect more from this amp than what it actually is and you won't be disappointed!

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

The sound isn't perfect, but for my setting and use it's just right.
The Fender Deluxe Mini-Amp is a nice little amp that is easy to carry. I play the autoharp, uke and a variety of rhythm instruments in a nursing home, so its portability is a real plus for me. Before I got the amp, hearing me was very difficult. I wish the suction cup pick-up stuck to my instruments the way it does my guitar, but putting a mic in front of me also works. The piano player in my group thinks it's great.

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

It's an ok amp for the price and playing around at home. Remember it is a mini amp. Your not going to get great sound. The louder you turn it up the less great the sound gets. Best used with headphones.
Features are what you can expect from a mini amp.
      It's definitely good quality.
      Very well priced.

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

I went into the store looking to buy a small, portable amp. I found this this one and I like it. It doesn't have many features, but what do you expect from a pedal-sized amp? The tone is pretty good unless you start to turn up the drive all the way. It's a great practice amp, or just something to bring along if you don't want to lug a huge amp. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a miniamp/practice-amp

Perfect little setup for playing around. It is not the big amp I have but I don't have to lug the big one anymore. This small amp SOUNDS GREAT. I COULDN'T BELIEVE MY EARS. Price is right.Has a headphone jack and a nine volt power supply adapter plug. I was fortunate enough to have the adapter power supply to conserve the 9 volt battery when I want. What More could you want for the price. You can't go wrong with this one period...

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

I bought this little guy because I needed some portable amp that was battery powered that could fit in my gig bag for school. I chose this over the Marshall cause it is a copy of my real Fender Hot Rod Deluxe amp, which I love. I was not disappointed. It has those nice warm lows, not rattle-the-windows low, but decent for its size. The clean mode is great, nice and clean. It has that same American Fender bluesy overdrive tone as the big amp, and also has enough headroom to hook up a distortion pedal to get the more "British" Marshall-like sounds. It is really well rounded for any style. The detail this thing has is great. If it had black tolex instead of plastic, it would be close to identical as the real one, give or take some controls and jacks. It seems really battery efficient too. It will not disapoint.

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

So my marshall 50w combo doesn't have a proper headphone jack and i needed to able to play loud in my new apartment. For the money, this little bugger sounds shockingly good. With headphones it's more than loud enough to cause hearing damage. And the quality of the tone is very, very convincing. Like others have said, the overdrive is pretty intense, but turn it right down and you get a nice clean, crunchy distortion. Totally worth it!

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

This is a great little amp. I bought the little Marshall MS-2 and sent it back it sounded like crap. With the Fender you can get both a clean and a distorted sound. With the Marshall I could not get anything but distortion. With the Fender you can turn down the gain and increase the volume to a point where you can actually hear a clean tone coming from the amp. If you want distortion just adjust the gain. With the Marshall I would turn the gain down and the minute I turned the volume up loud enough to actually hear it over the strumming of the guitar it would sound distorted. The Fender is also bucks cheaper. Buy it and don't bother going for the Marshall like I did. Keep in mind that this is a mini-amp that runs off a nine-volt battery and is not what I would call a "real" amp. It is for practicing alone when you don't want a lot of volume. I like the little dogbone handle but a belt clip would have made it perfect.

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

It doesn't get much simpler than this one. If you have some tone in the fingers, you can actually get some decent tones out of this little thing. I play a lot of Zeppelin, and you can't really expect a vintage marshall sound, but it can do some nice classic rock like that for what it is. It can even get some fairly smokin blues tones. There's a wide range of gain available, and it gets a good bit of fuzzy quality when you start to turn it up, and maxed out, it's pretty raunchy. The only thing I'm not 100% on is the quality. It is plastic, and the headphone jack on mine detached from the chassis, but that was fixed easily with some glue, another friend dropped his and the speaker popped out, another easy fix, but it would be nice if that didn't happen, but what do you expect. Overall, if you need a practice amp or something for school guitar class, I would definitely recommend this, and you really can't go wrong for $50.

Comments about Fender Mini Deluxe Amp:

Not a bad mini-amp. It's very small and portable (about the size of 2 cd-players stacked on top of each other), and it has a pretty good clean tone. But, the distortion is horrible. Probably the worst distortion I've ever heard. It's not too bad a quarter of the way or less. From what I've heard most mini-amps don't have that good of distortion either, though. I still like it because when I'm practicing I'm working on learning new stuff and can always just use my other amp and make it more rockin later.
