Comments about Rockman Metal Ace Headphone Amp:
When Tom Scholz sold the Rockman company to Jim Dunlop, they changed everything and they sound NOTHING like the products that Tom Scholz made. They still put his name along with his symbol "SR&D" but don't be fooled. It says countless stars use this one, what they really use is Tom's original "Rockman X100" which was made when Tom owned the company. If you want to hear an X100,listen to BOSTON's CD "Third Stage", Tom used it to record the album. In case you don't already know, Tom Scholz was the guitarist and major songwriter for BOSTON. The Dunlops just have a really cheap sound with hardly any gain at all. I kept my "Metal Ace" for about 1 day before sending it back for a refund, whereas I've owned an Original X100 since they were made around 1986 and it still rocks and sounds just like the CD's. Don't waste your money on the "Metal Ace" or the "Guitar Ace" unless you ARE looking for that cheap, low grade sound.
Comments about Rockman Metal Ace Headphone Amp:
A truely terrible and cheap product. Everything about it is cheap. Sound, distortion compression and build quality are substandard. The only thing that is positive is the size, if you need some thing small for travelling.

Had one of the originals... That was great.Bought one new for my son... this isn't the same product. Noise, poor quality... What Happened?

I used to have an original Rockman from the SRD days. That is what I was looking for. THIS WAS NOT IT! Dunlop has ruined this machine! Sound was POOR, Distortion was WEAK!
