I have owned my JetGlo (black) 620 for about 5 years now. I've played, Fenders, Gibsons, Washburns and also own Gretsch. This guitar is far and away the best guitar I've ever played. Everywhere I take it, I get the wow factor from other guitarists - "whoa, bro, that's a sweet rick!"Action is perfect, stays in tune, sounds amazing, and no other guitar will give you the tonal spectrum as accurately as this guitar. I play through a VOX AC15 and I can play anything except hard metal with that combo. Jazz, country, classic rock, mordern rock, name it and you can get the tone. It's hard to believe they're not more popular. And the finish on this thing is like a dream, and holds up like a tank. My strap came off at a gig recently and it dropped to the floor - not a scratch - but I've heard the semi-hollow's have finish issues. Not this one. It's my baby.

When I recived the guitar the first thing I noticed was the necks where warped, easy fix no problem. After that came the adjustment of sting height.Everything was going well untill it came to the 14-15-16th frets, there was no way to adjust the strings from stop fretting out.If I went to high I felt a guitar should not need to go almost an inch of the neck to stop the fret buzz.Anyway I am sure there are some 620,s that arrive perfect,I have a 330 I bought in 1997 and still have not touch a thing on it.I still think they are great guitars, but I sent this one back.

Comments about Rickenbacker 620 Electric Guitar:
I went to the 2013 NAMM show and visited the Rickenbacker booth. A 620 Fireglo was on display, by itself. I could not take my eyes off it.
I recently joined a Hillbilly-Rock/Americana group in Bakersfield, California. I knew that the guitar would fit the bill. I already have a Tele with Hipshot B-bending system. Having the Rickenbacker gives the group a new dimension. All in all, purchasing the Rickenbacker 620 was one of the best decisions that I recently made.
Purchasing the guitar was one of the best decisions that I recently made.

Comments about Rickenbacker 620 Electric Guitar:
Very underrated , as many have mentioned for only a few ducats more than the more popular California guitars you can have one of these excellent instruments.
I had a older 330 style a few years back, and while it was a great guitar I find that I'm more of a solid body guy, so when this popped up at a good price (suposedly used..I can't tell) I gladly sold my MIM Strat & Tele, and LP Faded. and bought this bad boy.
Many people think of this a a "pop" guitar, but this can rock as hard as any GIbby and twang like a Fender, and I often play Jazz on it! Sounds great thru my old Maganatone Starlighter, and my Marshall Lead 12..next asigment get the stereo rigged up. :-)
If you are the type that likes something "different" give this a a look, you will be better off with this than 3 or 4 lesser guitars.

Comments about Rickenbacker 620 Electric Guitar:
I just purchased the Ricky maple-glo 620 and I am absolutely impressed by the finish, sound and playability. When I first opened the case, it surprised me that the guitar has a smaller thin maple body. This is not a bad thing if you are smaller or don't want a behemoth hanging around your neck all night. The guitar is also very well balanced while hanging from a strap. The neck is fast and with the dual truss rods that Ric uses, I doubt that the neck will move very much. I like the jangly sound from the pickups and the controls allowed me to dial in my sounds with ease. If you want to own a Ricky but are cash-challenged, this is the guitar to buy.

Comments about Rickenbacker 620 Electric Guitar:
This is an awesome guitar and well worth the money. I was originally buying a Les Paul Studio Deluxe - but I'm so glad I chose the Ric in the end. Everything feels very solid to me, and it's got all the jangle you can ask for. One thing to note, I live in Canada where the climate is much different from that of California, where the guitar is made. Upon receiving the action was perfect and it plays itself. But after a few month the neck warped just a little bit and the action went off. With minor adjustments to the truss rod the problem was fixed. I guess this is expected - as wood does change from different climates. Also, when you replace strings make sure you buy boutique strings from the [@] website. IMO nothing comes close to them on a Ric. Tried some ernie balls but was not impressed with it. The original is the best.

Comments about Rickenbacker 620 Electric Guitar:
After reading the other reveiews I was excited and expecting to have the Rick delivered and setup perfectly out of the box. I was disapointed with the action which I felt was unusually high and strings were tight. I've been getting brave about doing my own guitar repairs and this thing being such a beauty decided to give it shot. Had to sand down the nut, straighten the neck with the tension rods and adjust the bridge height (thank goodness the intonation stayed true). After getting that done I was pleased that it finally lived up to the reviews. The action is now great, the pickups are clear and crisp and have no noticable hum for single coils. The neck is smooth and finish is top notch. I did remove the bridge gaurd which sits a little high for my taste. I'm sure this must have been a factory fluke, but now is my favorite guitar.

Comments about Rickenbacker 620 Electric Guitar:
I have a 360 and I wasn't sure this 620 would measure up to that high standard....no problem.
Nothing else I've played comes so close to playing itself.
