Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Classic Electric Guitar:

1. Very stable 5 pc neck thru body.
2. Neck feels like a US Tele (1st fret: 1" 21/32 12th fret is about the same as a Tele). Flatter radius and slightly thinner profile feels good. Forces you to learn to play more 'thumbs behind', which is a good thing.
3. Nut and bridge saddles were cut nearly perfect. Raking the string behind the nut and in front of bridge
sounded 'bell like' w/ little or no distortions. That's darn near *boutique*. Even my US Gibson and some US Fenders aren't that perfect.
4. All knobs/switches are perfectly tight.
5. I love the way the 5 way switch is set up for coil tapping the hum buckers. 2 and 4 positions are the 'taps'. Makes perfect sense. I hate listening to the 'Ka chunk" with push/pull pots. Plus no risk of accidental volume or tone change. (better engineering)
6. Top of binding on neck near body had some tiny blue paint residue, but nothing "unfortunate" or excessive. I was able to clean most of it off with my nail. 4-5 spots. (I'm not concerned about it).
7. Bridge humbucker ring was too tall to make intonation adj's w/strings ON. Solution: Makes notes of sharp/flat 12 fret note vs. harmonic and make estimated changes at next string change OR sand down bottom of mounting ring for better access. (This hasn't been an issue, just an observation).
8. Masked binding effect on mahogany top edge was done very well. No slop.
9. Overall beautiful, functionality, stability, staying in tune, etc..rivals a Carvin.
10. Could've sprung for two extra screws for truss rod cover. Bottom corner poke up just slightly.
11. The quilt maple 'veneer' or 'laminate' is probably as thick of 3 pcs of copy paper put together, but I'm just glad it's not a PHOTO.
12. Neck pickup is wonderful for jazz sound. Warm w/o harshness or being high output. Clarity and definition.
13. Guitar has "spank" like a strat, but smooth like a Paul. Best of both worlds.
14. I'm selling my 2012 US Gibson Signature T to buy more of these.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Classic Electric Guitar:

This is the best guitar i have ever played and i have played 10 to 20k guitars and they dont match the quality of sound and build of this guitar. Not to mention it has all upgraded parts, fantastic wood, and great design and looks. It cant be beat unless you paid for a custom job or made some other guy by upgrading it. The pickups are amazing. Ppl compliment me on the looks all the time. It has held up for 15 years and going strong. Im sure ill be 90 playing this guitar lol.

Comments about Schecter Guitar Research C-1 Classic Electric Guitar:

Ordered this guitar in February and had to waiting until the middle of May to receive it. It was worth the wait since I received a free Schecter case through their promotion. Guitar was flawless except for a couple of rough phillips screw heads. Guitar was setup fine out of the box, just had to tune and play. The SD pickups give pronounced variety on each setting. Great guitar.
