A built-in mixer provides 3 input channels, including a switchable instrument-ready input (no DI required), and also features a dedicated 3-band EQ (bass/mid/treble) for simple, yet effective tonal control.

BEST LIGHTWEIGHT ACTIVE MONITOR FOR THE MONEY

| Review By: Dale Robbins | 5 days, 22 hours ago

Features:

It has all the same features as the higher priced Macky, but must less cost... no less quality.

Quality:

Terrific Quality... as long as you don't try to pipe a kazillion watts through it!!!

Value:

Great value!!! I highly recommend.

Overall:

I've used all kinds of monitors... big, small, powered, unpowered,  pricey, cheap... but this little powered gem is as decent as any on the  market... and won't bankrupt you. Best deal, best quality  for small monitors that you'll find.

Excellent stage monitor

Features:

The 3 way parametric EQ alone makes this unit worth its weight in gold.

If you are so inclined you can daisy chain several units together (but you'll need to go from XLR thru to 1/4" male).  It would be nice if they would have provided the option of XLR thru to XLR input or 1/4' to 1/4" but it's not a really big deal.  Just get a cable with  XLR - 1/4" and you're set.

The volume controls let me adjust the level without having to get the sound tech's attention and then make funny gestures as to tell him to turn my monitor up or worse yet, the ever so unprofessional "announcement" over the PA that I need more monitor.

I'm a short guy (5' 4") and with a straight mic stand set all the way down the angle works just fine for me.  I have mine mounted on its own stand and my mic separate on a boom stand with the monitor placed slightly to my right.  Using an ElectroVoice N/D 967 mic I have zero feedback issues.  If you experience feedback you may want to consider getting a better mic (it really IS worth the extra $$$ in the long run).

Quality:

I've had mine for a little over a year now and it's held up wonderfully with no issues at all.  The sound quality is good (what can one expect from a very small cabinet) and actually way beyond what I expected from such a small package.

Value:

You can't beat it for the price!  At 1/2 the cost of the Mackie unit (BTW...they are the same) this one is definitely the way to go in a personal stage monitor!

Overall:

I have used a pretty wide range of monitor cabinets over the years and decided to give a small personal unit a try.

My Rhythm guitarist liked the way mine worked so much he bought one as well.  The lead guitarist and drummer are looking at getting them too! (Now to convince the 3rd guitarist and sax player to jump on the bandwagon.)

Carrying this little workhorse around sure beats lugging a bunch of Peavey 112 TLMs all over creation.  We'll still use a couple of full sized floor units to fill from the sides but 2 cabinets are a far sight better to lug than 6 or 8!

Features:

This is great for a monitor/small mini PA.  As a drummer I put it right behind my kit during gigs for using as a monitor, and plug a mic into it to practice my singing and playing for rehearsals.  Sounds great for the money and comes with an adapter so it will fit into any mic stand.  Accepts a phono jack or reg. mic jack into the mic line inputs.

Features:

plenty of useful features in this monitor.

Quality:

so far the quality appears to be very good.  have only used it on 3 gigs-so far-so good!

Value:

a great value for what you pay period!

Overall:

Overall this is a killer monitor for the money and I will not be hauling around big heavy floor wedges no more.  Don't need them with this little jewel on a mic stand puttin the sound right in my face!

The rest of the band is thinking of buying them as well.
