Brightest, longest-lasting strings

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

I've been using these great 11/49 stainless steel strings on both of my acoustic-electric guitars (Ovation Celebrity Deluxe and Yamaha APX900) for more than a year - they sound dramatically better than conventional electric nickel-steel or acoustic bronze strings - I play them (this is crazy, I know) until one of the strings breaks - then I change the whole set - this takes at least 6 months and 50 gigs.I have sweaty hands - regular strings die off in a week - when these are OLD (6 months) serious players say "What are those strings? They sound great!"These strings have a very bright sound - they're loud and very even in tone - they also come in a bunch of gauges (from jazz acoustic to skinny electric).Stop wasting your money on Elixir or other coated strings.

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

These are terrific strings. They play easily because the outside of these strings are smooth like FlatWound strings, yet they bend easily and sound great. I have been using a set on my stratacaster that NEVER wore out. After a year or so, still bright and strong. I let a friend of mine talk me into trying a set of elixers on my SG.Just didn't like them. They were fuzzy within a few weeks of playing around the house. Replaced them with these Half rounds and love them. The longer you play them the better they get.

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

I haven't been able to find these strings at any local music stores in Delaware or Philly area. I had my last set for about a year. I don't play this particular semi-hollow Epiphone guitar out much but even with that the strings went a long ways and had the nice tone until the end. I tried another set of strings, (semi-bright round wounds) and they made the axe sound blah. These EHR370 Guitar Strings have a nice feel, sound, tone that I had to search online until I found them and waited for the delivery and immediately change over to them. Good for mellow chording but they also rock out very well too.

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

Great , smooth fretboard feel,, great tone on my Gretsch! Would never go back to roundwounds on my semi-hollow. I don't like the "jangly" sound of new roundwounds either, so these work better for me.

I put these strings on my 1993 Heritage H-535 & they sound & feel great & my guitar stays in tune much better. I have no complaints about these strings at all.

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

Smoothness of flat-wound but with a bit more tone and volume. Good compromise between round-wound and flat-wound. Had an application where I thought of strings like this, not knowing that they actually existed. Some tone and volume is sacrificed for more smoothness, compared to round-wound. They did seem to lose intonation before they deaden and lost tone. I replaced them when intonation suffered. With other strings I replace when tone and volume starts to diminish.

BOUGHT THESE IN A 9 FOR MY STRAT. AMAZING STRINGS AND A BARGAIN PRICE FOR A FLAT WOUND. YES THEY "ARE" FLAT ON TOP. THEY DO A GOOD JOB WHEN INSTALLED BUT IMPROVE. SEEMS THE MORE YOU PLAY THEM THE BETTER THEY GET. JUST ORDERED A SET FOR MY ACOUSTIC/ELECTRIC. I'LL LET YOU KNOW LATTER ABOUT THAT.

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

Finally after dredging thru a multitude of strings, flats rounds etc. I've found the D'Addario EHR370 half rounds 11-49. I always had a string buzz problem on my low E on my Hagstrom Viking Deluxe semi hollow. These strings totally wiped it out. Buzz mostly bugged me playing unplugged. Smooth playing whether Jazz or Blues. Finally got the sound I've been looking for. Been playing guitar since 1971. I have not tried them on my solid body guitars. The EH370s have made my Hagstrom and I very happy!

Comments about D'Addario EHR370 Guitar Strings Half Rounds Medium:

I am happy with the playability and feel of these strings. I would recommend them.
I put these strings on my acoustic/electric jazz hollow body guitar and they sound great. Not as bright as regular strings and they have a smoother feel. They need to be broken in for a few more days but they already sound better suited for Jazz music. I would recommend trying these if you want something in between standard strings and flat wounds. These strings play just like regular strings but have a slightly smoother feel when you slide up and down the neck.
                  Quality was great, no issues.
Slightly more money than regular strings but if you want more of a flat wound feel then its worth the extra few dollars.
