Comments about Gibraltar Ball Arm L-Rod Mount:
[I disagree with a previous reviewer] I mounted 3 gretsch renown maple toms on a gilbralter rack and they are solid. Positioning was no problem and they stay put. The ball gives my precise placing of my toms. I couldn't be any happier with them. They do what they clam and do it well.

Comments about Gibraltar Ball Arm L-Rod Mount:
Like all of the products I've bought by Gibraltar, these are great. I would highly recommend them for toms with L-Rod type mounts up to 12 inches. Above 12 or 13 inches, I'm not sure any ball mount would work well.

These are great tom arms. They are functional, easy to use, and are a great deal. I purchased them to replace a pair that I've been using for 17 years!

Comments about Gibraltar Ball Arm L-Rod Mount:
I have to dissagree with the previous reviewer as well about these not being any good. My best guess is he is using them without a rack. These probably wouldn't be too great for mounting straight to a base drum. Considering the down tube is shortened for the purpose of use with a rack. The short down tube is used to make sure your bass drum has clearance under your toms. My personal opinion of these are that they so exactly as advertised....when used in the correct application. in short, if your going to be putting these straight onto a bass drum, they probably won't do you much good, however if you are using a rack, or a three way stand, then these will serve you very well. They are very sturdy, and reliable. The only complaint I really have about them is the L arm doesn't come with a memory lock, other than that, these are great.

Comments about Gibraltar Ball Arm L-Rod Mount:
I respectfully disagree with the reviewer who gave these mounts a one-star rating. I am currently using these L-Rod mounts on a Gretsch Renown Maple with a Gibraltar rack. Because of the ball feature, these mounts are very versatile. They are functional for essentially any type of configuration you are hoping to achieve. I am very picky about my setup and I know my preferences when it comes to my kit, given I have been playing with the same configuration for over two decades. I like things just right. Even the smallest adjustments are possible because of the ball feature. I recommend these without hesitation based on the freedom they give you in regard to your setup.

Excellent product.
Comments about Gibraltar Ball Arm L-Rod Mount:
This mount sucks on so many levels. The tube isn't long enough to get your tom where you want it and that p.o.s. ball doesn't allow you to position it where you
