This is a real decent, inexpensive case. I don't know how long it would hold up under years of road trekking abuse, but the interior is lush and the quality of construction is perfectly sufficient for my needs. I have a Tokai Flying Vee and it fit snugly, but I did have to slice into the fabric to remove some foam from the apex near the compartment and glue the fabric back in at that location in order to accommodate the neck joint area. Easy fix, not a big deal at all; the neck lays flat across the cargo lid and my Vee fits well now.

I purchased this case because I could not find one specific for my LTD V-401 guitar. I was thinking it was going to fit but unfortunately it was not even close. It is a really nice case too. It has a good sized internal storage compartment and excellent padding. It is very stylish and has a lock for protection. I just wish they would have provided more specifics like measurements or the models it fits. So I'm writing this to warn anyone else who has a V styled guitar to do some more research otherwise you will be returning it like me.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

Bought this for a rr v Jackson model Js32t . Guitar finder was not helpfull so bought this based on measurements . Did Not fit . My misfortune your gain if you have an rr style look elsewhere . That being said lets get to the review . Exterior of case looked good clean edges decent hardware . however when i opened it before i even tried the guitar the first thing i noticed was the devider that has the storage lid attached to it was loose and swung with the door . I started laughing. The other heal devider that the neck sits on was loose also with no padding just velvety material on top. Expected better protection, expected better quality based on look of exterior . Now my King v does not fit this case either take note. case looks like a it would fit standered v type guitar . For me even had my guitar fit it would still be going back. This case needs an interior redemption to match the exterior .

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

I bought this case to store and protect a vintage Washburn FV-2V and it appears it will work well for that application. I had to hand crush the side walls of the "V" foam cavity to get the Washburn to fit. (about 1/8th of an inch all around)
Entry level hinges and latches on this product..I'd have given this case a 4 star rating had these items been a little heavier in construction.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

I had to modify the case by cutting away a small piece of Styrofoam to allow the neck to sit all the way down in order to get it to close- so, I had to cut into the lining to get at the Styrofoam. So, at first, I was not too happy about the whole thing, but it worked out and I think that it's a really great case- it has a lot of storage space and the V fits in really well. I guess I'd just say that you might have to do something similar in at least some situations- mine is a 2002 model.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

They claim this case is for most V style Guitars I bought it for my 2016 Gibson LE Flying V and it did not come close to fitting in this case. I know of 4 companies that make a flying V there may be more but I only know of Gibson, Epiphone , Jackson and dean and I'm willing to bet that none of them would fit in this case I know for fact that 2 of them won't Gibson and Epiphone's are made to the same size. Stay away from this case.

Case is huge. I can fit a family of three and their pets. The case is a bit flimsy probably due to the size. It's a nice case. I recommend it to others who need an inexpensive Flying V case. It does it's job.

I have a 7 string B.C. Rich Lucky 7 V and it almost fit at first but had to be molded and stretched a bit at the neck rest and bottom corners. After I did what needed to be done my guitar fit nice and snug and I couldn't be happier. Only took about 15 minutes. I will leave it in the case for a few days so the shape will take better form. Seems to be a very strong case. Now that i know this case can be molded to fit, I will also be buying another one for my 7 string flying V.

I'm not about to cut out anything to make it fit. "This hardshell guitar case was designed to fit the uniquely shaped V-style electric guitars" Not any that I own. Save yourself time and money. Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

Someone else mentioned that removing some of the padding material near the neck joint would make it fit a Gibson V. It sort of does, but the problem is that it exposes the sharp edge of the chipboard wall that supports the compartment flap. This will damage the finish around the joint, so I had to remove the wall altogether. This would've been an excellent, non-touring case if they had placed that wall 3-4 inches toward the headstock.

I have a Gibson Flying V Pro 2016 T. After reading all the reviews, I was hesitatnt to buy this case. However, the day it arrived, I put my Vee in it and it fit and closed with no issues. I didn't have a strap connected, so that may be too tight. However, just unhook the strap from the back of the neck and it should be fine. I would have preferred a small indentation where the back of the neck lays in the case, but it works. The bottom body of the vee shapes have spare room, but that is for different V models. Seems fairly sturdy as long as you treat it with respect.

Comments about Musician's Gear V-Style Case:

Well-made, reasonably priced case. My Flying V is from a build-it-yourself kit. Since V-style guitars vary from manufacturer, and seeing the person doing the review before me had problems fitting it in the case, I was prepared for it.

The only issue I had, actually had to do with the guitar itself. It would not fit in the case with the strap hooked up.....this is because I had the "strap-lock" hooked up. That sticks out a little.....so always detach the strap whem putting it in the case. Worked fine once I took the strap off....
