It's strudy, practical and looks great.
Only 1 flaw - boards bounce around when you get hot and heavy.
Generally a very good stand. It breaks down easily for transportation. Generally very stable, but can wiggle side to side if you don't set the stabilizer peg correctly (which can be hard to do -- keep some pliers around!) I would like to add a third tier to mine, but I'm not sure if you can get those. The only wear and tear I've seen is the rubberized pads on the tiers peels off... you have to cut them off or they won't go into their holding tubes. Also, there isn't a whole lot of space for pedals -- I use two damper pedals, and it still gets crowded. Looks very cool onstage though :-)
The Apex AX48B was easy to assemble, and generally stable during performance. One problem I found was the standard 13" tribars were not long enough to stabilize my Korg Triton Studio 88. I believe you can purchase an extended TBR-180 Long Tribar (18"),for larger 88 key synths or workstations, from an manufacturer authorized reseller. There is not a lot of room for pedals, but it does look great on stage! It's quality.
