Overview

Analog delay built to bend, drift and break the rules.

From warm, dimensional echoes and swirling modulation to pitch-bent repeats and delays that grind to a halt beneath your foot, the DOD Drag transforms classic analog delay into an expressive platform for real-time sound manipulation. An all-analog BBD circuit provides up to 750 ms of delay with dedicated Time, Feedback, Filter and Level controls for everything from tight, focused echoes to long, atmospheric repeats. The expansive Drift section adds four modulation waveforms and continuously variable intensity, while the Friction system lets you bend, slow, stop and reaccelerate your delays by holding and releasing the footswitch. True bypass switching, top-mounted jacks, optional FS3X footswitch support and a reversible StagePlate round out a performance-focused design that takes analog delay beyond familiar territory.

All-Analog BBD Delay From Focused Echoes to Expansive Repeats

At its core, the Drag is a versatile delay pedal built around all-analog bucket-brigade circuitry with up to 750 ms of delay time. Dedicated Time and Feedback controls let you dial in the spacing and number of repeats, while Level determines how prominently the delayed signal sits alongside your dry tone. A Filter control moves the repeats from darker, softer textures toward brighter, more defined echoes, giving you the flexibility to keep the effect tucked behind your playing or push it forward with greater clarity. From concise rhythmic delays to dense, regenerating trails, the Drag provides a flexible analog foundation before its more unconventional controls enter the picture.

Drift Modulation With Four Distinct Waveforms

The Drag’s Drift section puts a broad spectrum of movement at your fingertips, ranging from subtle animation to deliberately unstable pitch modulation. The Curve control lets you choose between four waveforms: Sine provides smooth, flowing movement; Reverse Saw creates a repeating ramp with a sharper reset; Square jumps abruptly between modulation positions for stepped, mechanical textures; and Random introduces unpredictable movement that can evoke everything from worn tape to scattered pitch shifts. The continuously variable Drift control moves through Light, Medium and Heavy ranges, letting you explore the spaces between subtle modulation, pronounced movement and more extreme modulation rather than limiting you to fixed intensity settings.

Friction Modes Unlock Real-Time Delay Manipulation

Hold the Drag's footswitch and its Friction system turns the delay itself into a performance effect, with three categories offering different ways to manipulate your repeats in real time. Rubberneck bends the delay upward or downward in pitch, SlideStop slows the delayed signal toward a shallow or dramatic halt, and Evade introduces more abrupt HopStop or sliding Slide-n-Go transitions before the effect returns when you release the switch. The Friction control lets you move between the two behaviors within each category and shape the timing of these sonic maneuvers, opening the door to expressive pitch sweeps, warped transitions, sudden rhythmic interruptions and dramatic stops and starts.

Performance-Focused Control and Seamless Pedalboard Integration

The Drag is designed to make its unconventional delay effects practical to control in a live rig. A 1/8" control input supports the optional DOD FS3X footswitch for expanded hands-free operation, while top-mounted connections help conserve pedalboard space and true bypass switching keeps the pedal out of your signal path when disengaged. Standard 9V DC center-negative power makes integration with common pedalboard supplies straightforward, and the reversible StagePlate provides an additional way to optimize the pedal's grip for your setup. Whether used for richly modulated analog delay or pushed into its more extreme Friction effects, the DOD Drag analog delay pedal gives players hands-on control over how their repeats move, bend and decay.

Features

  • Analog delay pedal combines BBD warmth with expressive pitch and modulation effects
  • Analog BBD circuit delivers up to 750 ms of delay and 1.5 seconds in Rubberneck mode
  • Rubberneck Up/Down bends delay pitch for expressive rises and dives on demand
  • SlideStop modes slow repeats toward a halt before accelerating back into motion
  • Evade modes create abrupt stops, sliding transitions and stutter-like rhythmic effects
  • Four Drift waveforms range from smooth modulation to randomized pitch movement
  • Three Drift ranges move from subtle modulation to heavy, unstable textures
  • Time, Feedback, Filter and Level controls shape delay tone, timing and repeats
  • Friction control adjusts the speed and timing of footswitch-activated effects
  • True bypass and top-mounted jacks support streamlined pedalboard integration
  • Optional FS3X footswitch expands hands-free control of Drag functions
  • Reversible StagePlate provides adjustable grip for different pedalboard setups

Push your tone into uncharted territory with the DOD Drag analog delay pedal, combining warm all-analog BBD repeats with deep Drift modulation and foot-controlled Friction effects.
