OVERVIEW

A compact pedal board-friendly overdrive with two modes of awesome overdrive.

The Mooer Hustle Drive Overdrive pedal offers a wide range of tonal options in a compact and simple design. It has two modes of overdrive that are vastly different. High peak mode (HP) boosts up the bottom end. When increasing the distortion via the Drive knob, you get more volume and a slight increase in high-mid range (around 3.5KHz). Low peak mode (LP) colors the original sound very little but works well for clean boosting. Its full metal casing makes it durable and road ready, and like most great effects pedals it has true bypass.

This is on my board right next to my Maxon RTO 700. And just between us, this sounds better in some ways. It's got great, full tone. It can give tube screamer like light overdrive all the way to rocking distortion. It is a clone of the Fulltone OCD, which is almost a legend in stomp pedals.
If you want a really excellent, pedal in a small package you will not regret this one. You could actually have this one distortion pedal on your board and not require any other OD. It is an under the radar gem. No kidding.

Comments about Mooer Hustle Drive Guitar Effects Pedal:

So I've been on the hunt for the tone behind Joe Walsh's Funk #49 for years and years and this little box gave it to me. It absolutely kills it... it's just the right bit of compression, just the right bit of sizzle, and it goes well beyond that into really surprising versatility. I was putting together a stripped down board of just 3 or so effects and I actually need to buy another one of these for my main board. I just offloaded a bunch of effects in trade for yet another tele and this thing sounds particularly awesome with that. Mainly play a Music Man Luke, an Axis, and a Custom Tele with SD buckers (we're talking a wide range of output levels and timbres) and it works with all three equally well, and now this new barebones tele. I picked up another Mooer pedal that's good, but not nearly as good as this one. They nailed it with the hustle drive, irrespective of price.

Comments about Mooer Hustle Drive Guitar Effects Pedal:

The hustle drive is a sweet OD. Ive only played this through a tube amp, and it does stack well with other pedals. Maybe its a bit bassy, but the tone overall is really good. I have used this with a bass and it was righteous. However, I normally play a Tele through a Bugera amp. My best Mooer Pedal yet! For the price its no brainer---nothing compares to this from Boss

Comments about Mooer Hustle Drive Guitar Effects Pedal:

I bought this pedal after much research, and it delivers the sound I expected. From 12 o'clock on down it is pretty close to an OCD, and I have one of those. I needed another OD to leave set at 9-10 O'clock, and not use up much real estate on my board, so I am very pleased with this little guy.

Comments about Mooer Hustle Drive Guitar Effects Pedal:

Prefers tube amps but does very well with solid state. Some sag when you play hard with too much gain, and the bypass switch is LOUD; however a nice and inexpensive pedal for high gain rhythm and/or medium gain lead guitar. Enclosure is a little bigger than a lighter. A bargain and a lot of fun.

Comments about Mooer Hustle Drive Guitar Effects Pedal:

Wow! I'm super impressed with the Hustle Drive from Mooer. I was a bit of a sceptic because of the price but after all of the YouTube videos and other user reviews I had to try it. I had just sold my Tubescreamer TS-9 as I wasn't super happy with the mid range happy pedal. The other pedal I have on my board is an Fulltone OCD, which I love, and I wanted something the would have a feel/sound closer to that. In comes the Hustle! A great pedal for an amazing price! It stacks up really well with the OCD and has a nice clear tone to it. I mostly use it as an overdrive to add to the OCD in case I want a quick punch while playing a song. I have also used it as an occasional boost (Volume up and Drive all the way down) and it sounds great. The OCD has a bit more punch, clarity, and power but the Hustle is a good addition to it.

Close to an OCD, but the bass is more pronouced. Goes well with a bright amp.

Comments about Mooer Hustle Drive Guitar Effects Pedal:

I wanted an OCD style pedal to go on my mini-board along with another OD pedal. This pedal fits the bill. It gives me the sound I wanted and a small footprint. I bought it for a super price in mint condition as it was a returned item. Well worth it even at full price.
