Over the years, the Way Huge Aqua-Puss received tremendous praise for its outstanding tone, but because of its scarcity, the cost of finding a used pedal went soaring. Once you hear this reissue, you will know exactly what all the fuss was about.
One twist of the Aqua-Puss pedal's Delay knob takes you from a tight 20ms delay to a cavernous 300ms. The Feedback control regulates delay duration and intensity. But watch out. Extreme settings can send the Aqua-Puss MkII into self-oscillating psycho-freak-out mode. Meanwhile the Blend knob lets you set a balance between dry and delayed signal-from mild to wild. The Aqua-Puss MkII delivers all the spooky mystery of vintage analog delay and tape-based echo, with none of the hassle of creaky, ancient gear. This reissued pedal features delay, feedback and blend knobs, just like the original.
Professional guitarists across the globe have long revered the amazing tone the Aqua-Puss delay puts out. From Oasis' Noel Gallagher to John Mayer, this pedal has been a staple to their unique guitar tones. It delivers a warm, vintage analog delay that is truly sublime and rich. Now it returns to make a glorious appearance in your pedal board, offered at a price that any tone junkie can enjoy.

This is a great sounding pedal. You can go from a quick, almost echo-like tone to full on self-oscillating madness! After playing with it over a few days, the name "Aqua-Puss" is spot on! It definately sounds like it's under water when you switch it on. I don't really use delay a lot, so the technical limitations (only goes to 300ms) of this pedal aren't really an issue for me. If you're going for an Incubus-like "underwater" tone (such as "The Warmth") this is the pedal for you. It doesn't have all the different combinations and knobs you'll get from a Boss Digital delay, but it's a quiet pedal and has a really nice sound.
My only issue with this is the input jacks being on the top of the box instead of the sides. Not a huge deal but it can be an issue if you have a smaller pedalboard or use a lot of side-jacked pedals in your chain. But that's really the only problem I have with it. Buy this pedal!!!

Let me start off by saying that this is not a negative review, but a warning for someone considering this pedal. If you're looking for a versatile, great sounding delay, don't get this. yes it's an "analog delay" and that might appeal to those anti-digital old school types. but this pedal is extremely limited (20ms to 300ms range is very small) and doesn't have a lot of versatility. I played this pedal before I bought it at my local Guitar Center, and I thought at the time I thought it sounded great! but after I got it home and was really able to sit down with it, I realized it wasn't at all what I was looking for. two days later I returned it and the associate was more than helpful in my dilemma. I traded it in for a TC Electronic Flashback Delay and I could not be any happier with it. so if you're looking for an awesome delay with a ton of tone and versatility and excellent control, shell out the cash for the Flashback cause it's worth more than every penny.

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
My Maxon AD-80 was stolen and I nearly bought another Maxon until I gave this a try at a local music shop. I was instantly a big fan of this pedal. You don't need to spend an arm & a leg to get a great analog delay.
This has all the features I need. Knobs give a wide range of possibilites. If you are looking for long delays......look elsewhere. If you require tap tempo.......once again look elsewhere. I love having the input & output jacks on TOP of the pedal to preserve space on my pedalboard. All pedals should be made this way!
Extremely well built. I've been playing shows with mine for months and it hasn't let me down. The sound quality is outstanding. A beautiful & wet analog delay. Self-oscillating sounds are easy to get.
When you consider what the originals were going for on the used market, these are a steal.

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
This is an analog delay - If you're not sure what you're looking for in a delay pedal you will either love this pedal or you will hate it. It's a one trick pony, per se. However, it does that one trick very, very well. If you're at that point where you have decided to purchase an analog delay and get rid of the multi effects units - Buy this one. It's industry standard.
The only knock I could find about the pedal is that the pedal has A LOT of it's own character and the farther and farther you bring the delay into the mix, the more and more you lose the original tone of your guitar and other pedals. If you don't mind the way this pedal colors your sound it won't bother you though.
This is tops on the list of analog delays - If you're searching for one. Start here.
Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
Just bought this pedal last night and within 10 minutes of playing with it I was thrilled. The versatility is great. I found that you could go from a subtle delay to crazy and the feedback control allows for fun experimenting to really take it over the edge. I really don't know how else to describe it. I felt like a little kid in a candy store. You must try it for yourself. One of the best pedals I've ever used period.
Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
Best delay I've ever used. Period. Subtle echoes to in-your-face slap back. Very organic, natural sound. The self-oscillation is wild and aggressive.

This pedal is awesome. In fact, all of Way Huge pedals rule!If you turn up the feedback and blend, you get an awesome oscilating sound!

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
There is no substitute for analog delay. This delivers quick country-style slap delay to decently deep 300ms delay with continuous cycle. The customization is quite versatile and I'm pretty happy with the pedal.
Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
no tap tempo.. but otherwise a very sweet pedal!
I borrowed this pedal from a friend durring a gig. i ended up using it the entire night. i liked it so much i bought one, and I couldn't be happier! the tone is so beautiful, sparkly and clear , the response is very nice. it works well with both my electric guitar and my accoustic guitar run through an acoustic pickup. my little practice amp has never sounded this good! i would have given this pedal a 10 rating but it doesn't have tap tempo. so it's a 9. other than that it is very awesome. i recomend this pedal for anyone who likes to have fun with sounds, and it's also great for gigs . buy it and enjoy!
whats not to like? metal enclosure, nice bright blue light , easy to use!
i bought it on sale but for any price it's good!!

Comments about Way Huge Electronics Aqua-Puss MkII Analog Delay Guitar Effects Pedal:
Basic delay pedal. Have had a few others like MXR, Maxon and can't say there is any significant difference. I use two basic settings for thick amd slap back. I've also had another Way Huge pedal, the overdrive, and was happy with that for quite a while. Hey, it's a delay pedal, does what it's supposed to do. Does take up more pedalboard space than smaller sized pedal. Sounds good though with my Jazzmaster and Deluxe Reverb.

I was looking for a delay but instead found an "always on" tone pedal. I set the Delay and Blend knobs to 7 o'clock and Feedback to 10 o'clock and it always stays on. Everything just sounds fuller, multi-dimensional, and just plain sweeter. Give it a try!
