Propellerhead DAW Software
Propellerhead's flagship DAW is called Reason. There are lots of versions to choose from, but don't worry: the differences between them are very clear, so finding the right one for you is no problem. If this is your first digital audio workstation, you might want to start with Propellerhead Reason 8 Essentials. With a core set of mixing features, instruments and samples, this simplified version of Reason is the perfect way to start learning how to use a DAW without feeling overwhelmed. And when you're ready to upgrade to the full edition, you won't have any trouble - just get the Reason 8 Upgrade for Ltd/Adapted/Essentials for a step-up to the complete package.
If you're in music education, there are some further editions of Propellerhead Reason for you to consider. Reason 8 Student/Teacher, for instance, is the way to go when you need a single copy. Or, if you're outfitting a whole class, check out the EDU 10 User Pack and EDU 5 User Pack. There's no more economical way to get your hands on multiple copies of Reason. On the other hand, maybe all you need is to bring yourself up to date from an older copy? If so, you'll be all set with the Reason 8 Upgrade from any previous version.
Whether you're just getting started, building your production skills, teaching or taking classes or just looking for an upgrade from a previous generation of Reason, Propellerhead DAW software has a version to get you up and running. With Reason's creativity-stoking design, you'll have the tools you need to create professional songs and soundtracks even if you're a newcomer to the scene.
