The MEINL Pandero de Plena Seguidor drum brings the heart of Puerto Rico’s plena tradition into a thoughtfully crafted instrument that reflects both heritage and artistry. Built from chamchuri wood and paired with a hand-selected cow skin head, this 14" Seguidor is shaped to capture the familiar feel, response and character that define the plena ensemble. Its traditional chrome plated hardware and J-hook tension rods reinforce the classic construction approach used by makers who value cultural authenticity and dependable tuning. Finished in antique brown, the Seguidor stands as one part of the Requinto, Punteador and Seguidor trio, giving musicians the flexibility to build their own plena lineup while staying rooted in a timeless rhythmic lineage.
