Great Frisbee

Comments about Sabian SBR SPLASH Cymbal:

My wife refers to it as "That Cute Little Cymbal". And that's really all it's good for. Has absolutely NO musical personality what so ever. It does look kind of neat all nestled between the real cymbals.
I am pretty much sold on the Sabian X20 series. I have the X20 14" high hats and a 17" fast crash in my kit and will replace the SBR with anX20 splash.
I think S.B.R. stands for Some Bad Resonance
Does not really produce anything close to a musical sound.
Tough little cymbal. Just worthy of the Sabian logo.

Comments about Sabian SBR SPLASH Cymbal:

This splash cymbal is less used for effects and more for a pain in the ass. I bought this splash cymbal, only planning on using it for effects. I used it around 10 times, with that 10 times I killed it. The cymbal split from the center in 4 huge cracks. Only buy this cymbal if you plan on throwing it out.

Great for Kids to beat up

Comments about Sabian SBR SPLASH Cymbal:

i bought one of these to replace my old Wuhan splash. the price is amazing but this sbr splash has a very dry dead sound, very church bell like and not very penetrating also the decay is in milliseconds. but it is one of the thickest cymbals i own. i can let those "can i play your drums" people and the kids hammer away at my sbr's all day without worries of cracks or dents. i also own sbr 13" hats and 16" crash. the crash sounds the same as a b8 and the hats are amazingly crisp an responsive for their weight. bottom line if your broke or a newbie who fears breaking expensive cymbals these are perfect. i plan on stacking my sbr splash on top of a Wuhan splash to make a 10" splash hat. the thin Wuhan and the thick sbr make a killer cuttin sound that goes well with metal/hard rock

I play Anything, and this symbol is great, it wont dent or crack unless you hit it very very hard.

Comments about Sabian SBR SPLASH Cymbal:

I purchased this cymbal to fill in my kit a bit and add some more accents. For the price I'd say it's good, but don't expect too much. I also have a 10" Xs20 splash that sounds a hundred times better. This one just doesn't cut through the mix very well and it falls flat instantly... almost no sustain at all. I didn't expect it to sound as good as the Xs20, but I was hoping for a little more from it. All and all I would say it is just "OK".

Lacks punch but then again it's only a 10 inch. A decent accent cymbal for smaller venues or recording.

    Better than Meinl HCS 10"

Comments about Sabian SBR SPLASH Cymbal:

I have this cymbal, as well as a Meinl HCS 10". I MUCH prefer the Sabian. It has a less harsh, more mellow one and works well on all of the songs that I use a 10" splash on.
