Upgraded Baggs Element VTC electronics capture the guitar's natural acoustic character with discreet soundhole-mounted controls for amplified performance. Finished in a rich gloss Shadowburst with contrasting Acacia wood binding, decorative abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays and premium hardware, the AG66CESHB Deluxe brings refined craftsmanship and expressive versatility to Alvarez's celebrated Artist Series.

Solid African Mahogany and FS6 Bracing Deliver Warm Articulation

The AG66CESHB Deluxe features a Grand Auditorium body with a solid African mahogany top, producing a warm, focused acoustic voice with rich midrange character and clear, articulate response. Mahogany back and sides complement the top's natural warmth, while the body's narrow waist helps emphasize treble definition and its broad lower bout provides the air volume needed for a full, balanced bass response. Alvarez's FS6 forward-shifted bracing system incorporates asymmetric, tapered tone bars that allow a greater area of the soundboard to vibrate freely, enhancing resonance, projection and dynamic sensitivity. Together, the responsive mahogany construction and carefully voiced bracing create a versatile tonal foundation that moves naturally between delicate fingerpicking, expressive melodic passages and full-bodied strumming.

Dovetail Mahogany Neck Offers Comfortable, Responsive Playability

A mahogany neck with a traditional dovetail joint provides a solid connection to the body, supporting resonance and a responsive playing feel. The 25.5" scale offers familiar acoustic string tension and clear note definition, while the 1.75" nut width provides comfortable spacing for intricate fingerstyle passages and full chord voicings. An Indian laurel fingerboard extends across 21 frets, complemented by an elegant 12th-fret inlay. The neck joins the body at the 14th fret, while the Grand Auditorium's cutaway provides convenient access to higher positions for melodic playing. A semi-gloss neck finish completes the comfortable, refined playing experience.

Baggs Element VTC Delivers Natural Amplified Acoustic Tone

The AG66CESHB Deluxe features an upgraded Baggs Element VTC pickup system, bringing professional-quality amplification to its warm, responsive acoustic voice. The undersaddle Element pickup captures the instrument's natural dynamics and tonal detail, while an all-discrete Class-A endpin preamp delivers clear, articulate output with a responsive playing feel. Discreet soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls provide convenient adjustment without the large side-mounted control panel found on the standard model, preserving the guitar's clean appearance and uninterrupted mahogany sides. Whether connected to an acoustic amplifier, PA system or recording interface, the Element VTC provides an intuitive, performance-ready solution that translates the Grand Auditorium's balanced acoustic character into a natural amplified sound.

Acacia Binding and Shadowburst Finish Elevate Deluxe Styling

The limited-edition Deluxe treatment gives the AG66CESHB an elegant visual identity, pairing a rich gloss Shadowburst finish with contrasting Acacia wood body binding that highlights the Grand Auditorium's graceful contours. Decorative paua abalone and mother-of-pearl inlays add refined detail, complementing the warm appearance of the mahogany construction. An Indian laurel bi-level bridge provides a stable foundation for the strings, paired with a real bone saddle and nut for consistent string contact and clear tonal response. Ebony bridge pins and premium die-cast tuning machines complete the hardware package, offering dependable performance alongside the instrument's carefully selected appointments. Together, these details bring a sophisticated finishing touch to the guitar's expressive acoustic design.
