OVERVIEW

Original style with extra versatility from three pickups.

Straight from the studios of Music Row in the home of country music—Nashville, TN—comes the Deluxe Nashville Tele, a tonally versatile performer with a unique (for a Tele) three pickup design. A distinctive entry into the Fender family, this Tele growls, snaps and screams with flexible tone that can match any song. With its original Fender style, customized switching and fast, smooth playing feel, this Tele is ready to command any stage from the local honky-tonk to the Grand Ol’ Opry.

Two noise-free, highly articulate Vintage Noiseless Tele pickups inhabit the neck and middle positions, flanking the Vintage Noiseless Strat pickup in the middle to create an unbeatable trio. These pickups crank out rich, articulate tone, with the balanced string response, definition and twang you’ve come to expect from a genuine Fender instrument. Flexible five-way Strat-oTone pickup switching unlocks various pickup combinations, providing the perfect sound for any performance.

Enjoy increased sustain and slightly thicker tone that complements the famous Tele twang, thanks to the modern six-saddle string-through-body bridge with block saddles. A contoured neck heel and 4-bolt asymmetrical neck plate make it easy to comfortably reach the upper registers of the neck. The flatter 12”-radius fingerboard makes it easy to play fast leads and perform deep bends without fretting out. Locking short-post tuning machines provide increased break angle at the nut for buzz-free playing and enhanced tuning stability, along with quicker string changes.

Classic aesthetic touches include nickel/chrome hardware and a three-ply B/W/B or mint green pickguard, along with knurled flat-top control knobs and a black switch tip. A truly versatile performer with flexible sound, player-oriented features and original aesthetics, the Deluxe Nashville Tele merges the best of yesterday and today into a single, affordable design. Includes gig bag.

Well I just got my second Nashville tele. The first one I received Had a neck issue right out of the box. I immediately contacted musicians friend and initiated a return. I brought the guitar to UPS for shipping and contacted MF with the tracking number. Well after days of calling and giving them the tracking for the fourth time I was finally able to get them to ship the exchange back out to me. I got the exchange today and opened the box like a kid on Christmas. Only to find that the items that come with a new Fender guitar such as the adjustment tools, the owners manual, the instrument registration card, and not as important but still should be there Fender bumper sticker were not in the box. This led me to believe that I was sent a open box item as an exchange even though I paid for a new one. Again I found myself on the phone and getting the same answer that somebody would be contacting me. I have been a loyal customer with MF for over a decade and have never had to deal with this level of nonsense. As for the guitar I will update this review once I get a chance to really play it. If MF did replace my purchase with an open box item then shame on them. That is not the way a customer should be treated. The Guitar may get 5 stars but the service on this purchase gets 1 because 0 was not an option.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster Maple Fingerboard:

I'm a big fan of the noiseless pickups and the fender locking tuners. Really makes this made in Mexico guitar stand out. The gloss finish is great looking and the components seem first rate. Coming from a Gibson fan. I would buy this one at this price again.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster Maple Fingerboard:

This guitar has so many features on it that you used to only be able to get on the more expensive American guitars. You literally have to flip it over and read the back of the headstock to tell where it was made. It feels, plays and sounds like and American made instrument and has all the cool bells and whistles.
Locking tuners are awesome, the noiseless pickups sound great and give you classic tele and strat tones, the contoured neck heel is cool, the neck itself feels great, and the body weight is right where it should be.

I only have 1 issue with it: the pots.
The pots almost work too well. One little inadvertent nudge and they practically roll themselves off. This is especially a problem with the volume knob as I trend to get into a tune and bump that guy from time to time. This wouldn't be a huge issue except that the taper is severe; meaning a little nudge cuts your volume by like 70% and I'm not exaggerating.
I have not had this issue with any of the 7 or so other Fender instruments I've owned. It is bad enough though that they MUST be changed. I will be swapping them out for pots with a stiffer and smoother feel as well as ones with a more subtle taper.

I've had my Nashville Tele for a week now and love it! Great sound, stays in tune, well balanced and on and on and on. Really a fun guitar to play with lots of voices and a great feeling neck. The while/blonde body with black pick guard is an awesome look. Not one complaint except it really should come with a case. I'll get one later.

I bought this guitar as a scratch and dent. When I opened the box I couldn't believe my eyes! There is not a mark on this guitar! I don't get it? I had to do some minor setup work that I perform on all my new guitars, but other than that, it is BRAND NEW! Plays like a dream and sounds fantastic. I play in a Country Band, and this guitar does it all! Thanks musicians friend, but I feel like I cheated you getting this guitar at this price!

Comments about Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster Maple Fingerboard:

I bought the Nashville Deluxe as a Christmas present to myself. The bridge and middle pickups are fine (though the bridge was way too close to the strings when I got it). The neck pickup does nothing, and I don't want to spend time repairing a brand new guitar. No sound at all, no fuzzing, no pops or clicks or even muted sound - just dead.

No weird rattles from behind the pickguard. No obvious damage, so I'm guessing a bad soldering job or a bad (no) connection in the wind. In case your wondering, if the neck is Position 5 on the 5-way, Position 4 does activate the middle pickup, but still not the neck. Positions 3 and 4 sound identical, and there's no sound out of Position 5. Positions 1 and 2 work and sound correct.

I love the look and the idea of the Nashville Deluxe, but it makes me sad that it arrived with a dead pickup / bad wiring.

If everything actually worked, I would probably give it 4 stars. The satin poly neck feels really smooth and not at all sticky like a gloss poly neck. The locking tuners seem to work fine. I don't like the strings at all, but I was going to swap them out anyway.

Comments about Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster Maple Fingerboard:

This is one great guitar! I have been a mostly Gibson player for the last 50 years or so. I have owned Strats in the past and could never really connect with them. This Tele is a different breed. I just love the 12" radius fretboard on this thing. It really fits my "Gibson" hands I guess. It's just a pleasure to play. Locking tuners, noiseless pickups and the neck cutaway all make this the best money I've ever spent on a guitar. I may have to look into the Fender Deluxe Roadhouse Strat w/ Vintage Noiseless Pickups next! Great job Fender!

I use this guitar for gigging in clubs so far. I have been playing professional for over 40 years and really like this guitar. Very versatile as far as tones go and if you are a string bender rather than a shredder the neck is amazing. The noiseless pickups work great as well especially on those noisy gigs where the lights make everything hum like crazy. Great bang for the buck just get a better case to protect it.

This guitar is a great buy with a really good selection of tones available. If your looking to own a Telecaster, this is a prime choice. Came all set-up out of the box. Just had to tune it, that's it! Don't let Mexican made scare you off. I own both American and Mexican Tele's and this is a top quality guitar bar none. The locking tuners are a big plus. Buy before Fender raises their price!

Comments about Fender Deluxe Nashville Telecaster Maple Fingerboard:

This is a great guitar. I'm used to playing stratocasters and this tele gives you nice telecaster and strat tones. The neck has good feel, the radius makes it really fast and fun to play. I'm a fan of the tuners, they work great. The pickups are quiet and they don't sound muffled. Five options on the the pickup switch and they all sound good. I would say that if you're looking strictly for a telecaster tone, you could find a better option, but if you want the best of both, this is your guitar. I watched a Dawsons youtube review of this guitar that left me unimpressed, but that is not at all what this guitar sounds like -- it has a balanced and full tone. The craftsmanship is great for the money. In my experience, Mexican Fenders these days are of good quality. I'm not a fan of lightweight guitars and this one has a good amount of weight. The sunburst looks very nice. I'm playing out of a Vox AC10 and after a good setup, it sounds perfect. I got it as an open box and was somewhat skeptical given that it was a really good price, ordering online and all, but I'm very happy with my purchase.
