OVERVIEW

An updated classic with chambered body and Seymour Duncan pickups.

The Bluesbird reflects Guild’s return to yet another historic solid body model. Originally released in 1970 as the solid body counterpart to the M-75 Aristocrat, the Bluesbird was subject to a few design changes over the decades.

Today’s reissue features a carved maple top and maintains many of the aesthetic traits of the M-75 Bluesbird of the late 60s. Its lightweight chambered mahogany body allows for improved resonance and unparalleled comfort, making this guitar one of the lightest in its class.

The Bluesbird features a 24-3/4 in. scale, and fast-playing vintage C shaped neck. While many of the Bluesbird's specifications remain faithful to the original model, today’s updated version comes equipped with USA-made Seymour Duncan pickups, as well as a TonePros locking tune-o-matic bridge and stopbar tailpiece to offer the most versatile version of this guitar to date.

The Iced Tea Burst with a flamed maple top, Grover Sta-Tite tuning machines, and Guild's deluxe padded gig bag round out this ultimate package.

Comments about Guild Bluesbird Electric Guitar:

November 2017
I just saw this Guild Bluesbird in a local music store, and I was blown away by the beautiful flame maple top that this guitar had. I took it down from the rack and just had to plug it in to a Fender amp. I was amazed by how good this guitar sounds, feels in the hand, and the build quality. This guitar has all of the essential good parts on it such as Seymour Duncan JB pickup in the bridge position, and a '59 in the neck. It has the Tone Pro's locking bridge and stud tailpiece. The tuners are open back Grover's.
These guitars are made in Korea, however, the build quality is excellent. This guitar is also very light.
The body measures 1 1/2" and it is also chambered, yet it has a great resounding sound. This guitar
comes with a very nice deluxe Guild embroidered gig bag. When you register the guitar with Guild,
you will find a nice surprise. I simply love this guitar, and I'm glad it's in my collection. The finish is
classy and has a vintage vibe to it. The flame maple top on mine is just gorgeous!

Comments about Guild Bluesbird Electric Guitar:

I first played this guitar at a local guitar shop I was surprised that it sounded and played as good as my PRS Custom 24 guitar. A few weeks later when I saw the same guitar at Musician's Friend and I was able to use a coupon and Mus. F CC w/no interest for a year it was a no-brainer, and I purchased it right away. I love it J.J.

Comments about Guild Bluesbird Electric Guitar:

It's been said "Korea is the new Japan". This Korean Guild delivered in every way. It plays wonderfully, has Seymour Duncan pickups and all American parts. I bout a used Guild Blues Bird in 1975 (at age 20) and when I saw this 2017 version, I had to come back home to Guild. I was playing a Schecter A-6 which is great, but the range of sounds on this Blues Bird has caused me to make this my main axe. I ordered mine in the "antique burst" color. The pick guard comes uninstalled and it may be an addition to the black one but not so on the other two which have a tiger maple veneer. Great fretwork. Very pleased.
