Martin Custom Shop OM-45 Adirondack Spruce-Rosewood Concert Acoustic Guitar Aging Toner

The Martin Custom Shop OM-45 Adirondack Spruce-Rosewood Concert Acoustic Guitar is handcrafted for players who demand refined sound and historic detail. Inspired by the 1926 00-45 model, this acoustic features a premium Adirondack spruce top paired with master-grade East Indian rosewood back and sides. The shallow violin carve and modern pyramid bridge create responsive projection and sustain. With a full thickness V neck, slotted headstock, and thin vintage gloss finish, this concert-sized model offers a distinct feel and a look that stands out on stage or in the studio. Fingerstyle players and advanced musicians will notice the quick attack and deep resonance, while collectors will appreciate the Golden Era 45 snowflake inlays and antique white binding. This OM-45 is built for those who value tradition, clarity, and lasting artistry.

Adirondack Spruce Top and Scalloped Bracing Shape Projection

This acoustic instrument uses a premium Adirondack spruce top supported by scalloped X bracing. The braces are also Adirondack spruce, designed to boost responsiveness and volume. The top responds quickly to light touch and delivers clear, balanced notes during dynamic playing. The scalloped pattern increases movement, so each note rings out with strength and depth. This build helps players express subtle phrasing and powerful strumming without loss of clarity.

Master Grade East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides Enhance Tonal Complexity

Master-grade East Indian rosewood forms the back, sides, headplate, and body trim. The material adds overtone richness and a strong bass foundation. Players get a focused low end, sparkling highs, and singing mids with every chord and single note. The rosewood’s density also helps sustain longer, so the sound lingers naturally. Antique white binding and abalone inlays add visual definition, supporting the instrument’s refined style as well as tone.

Controls and Layout Support Fast, Accurate Playing

A full thickness V neck profile creates a secure grip without sacrificing speed. The ebony fingerboard features 20 frets, with a scale length of 24.9". Golden Era 45 snowflake inlays mark each position for accuracy. A slotted headstock and Waverly brass tuners allow smooth tuning changes. The bone nut and saddle improve intonation and stability, while the bridge string spacing of 2-3/8" helps fingerstyle and advanced chord work. The setup promotes clean transitions for studio and live use.

Construction Choices Increase Longevity and Value

The OM-45 concert guitar uses solid mahogany for the neck, master-grade rosewood for the body, and a gloss finish with aging toner to protect each surface. A dovetail neck joint and set construction keep the instrument stable under tension. Bone bridge and end pins with Paua shell detail add durability. Each detail, from antique white heelcap to the fitted case, is designed for years of reliable use. The build supports constant playing and preserves sound quality through changing environments.
