Overview
Step into true vintage Martin magic with this used 1976 D-35 in classic Antique Natural.
Handcrafted in Nazareth, PA during a golden era of American guitar building, this iconic dreadnought features a solid Sitka spruce top, a distinctive three-piece East Indian rosewood back and sides, a mahogany neck, and an ebony fingerboard and bridge. The lighter bracing of the mid-’70s D-35 gives it a balanced, resonant, and slightly sweeter voice than the D-28s of the same period—powerful low end, rich mids, and clear, ringing highs that respond beautifully to both bold strumming and nuanced fingerstyle.
After nearly five decades of aging, the wood has opened up into that sought-after, broken-in Martin tone that players and collectors chase. Whether you’re looking for a stage-ready workhorse, a studio companion, or a piece of guitar history you can actually play, this Antique Natural D-35 delivers timeless style and the unmistakable voice of a classic American dreadnought.
