The Ibanez Prestige line features some of the finest electric guitars the company has ever produced. Originally introduced in the mid-90's, the Prestige line represented the top-of-the-line Ibanez production models, guitars crafted with high quality components and materials, built by the some of the company's best luthiers, often featuring unique features and finishes.

While the line initially focused on the super-Strat style RG, or Roadstar design, favored by heavy metal and shred guitarists, Prestige models now include a variety of body styles, signature axes, and several basses. The RG2627Z is another 7-string tone monster, with a pair of specially-voiced EMG 707 humbuckers and an Edge Zero 7 bridge for 7-string whammy madness.

If that's not enough for you, the 8-string down-tuned RG2228 boasts a 5-piece maple/wenge Wizard Prestige neck with a 27" scale length, a pair of EMG 808 humbuckers, and double-locking FX Edge III fixed bridge for maximum tuning stability while you're shaking the rafters. Prestige Signature guitars feature axes designed to the specs of some of today's top players, like the Andy Timmons Signature Prestige model, with a custom-designed fretboard profile, Wilkinson/Gotoh VSVG tremolo bridge, and three killer-sounding DiMarzio pickups - dual single-coils in the neck and middle positions, and a humbucker at the bridge.
