The Akai Professional MPK mini Plus 37-key keyboard controller opens up a world of possibilities for music production. With 37 velocity-sensitive keys with aftertouch, you have a full three octaves to play melodies, chords and basslines. The eight RGB backlit drum pads are perfect for programming beats and launching samples. Use the eight assignable knobs to control filters, effects and DAW parameters in real time.
37 Velocity-Sensitive Keys With Aftertouch for Expressive Playing
The 37 mini keys on the MPK mini Plus provide a responsive playing experience. Their velocity sensitivity detects how hard or soft you press each key, allowing you to add dynamics and expression to your performances. Aftertouch sends MIDI data based on how much pressure you apply after pressing a key, giving you even more control over sound modulation. With three full octaves at your fingertips, you have plenty of room to compose complex chords, melodies and bass parts.
Eight RGB Backlit Drum Pads for Beats and Samples
The eight drum pads on the MPK mini Plus are perfect for programming drum patterns and triggering samples. Their RGB backlighting illuminates each pad in your choice of color so you can visually organize them by type of sound. The pads are also velocity sensitive, allowing you to create dynamic drum parts. Use the pads to launch clips in your DAW or trigger program changes.
Eight Assignable Knobs for Hands-on Control
Take full control of your DAW and virtual instruments with the eight assignable knobs. Map the knobs to control filters, effects, panning or any other parameters. Adjust synthesizer envelopes and LFOs in real time for expressive sound design. The knobs send MIDI CC data so you can control third-party plug-ins and hardware.
Transport Controls and Standalone Operation
Dedicated transport buttons give you control over playback in your DAW. Start, stop and loop recordings with the touch of a button. The MPK mini Plus can also function as a standalone MIDI controller. Use the built-in step sequencer to capture musical ideas anywhere without a computer. Connect the MPK mini Plus to a MIDI interface or sound module to control external gear.
