"Tonally evolved" is the tagline of the Line 6 Spider V series, and just a few minutes spent playing with one of these amps is enough to see that Line 6 can put their money where their mouth is. Spider V modeling amplifiers support more than 200 amp, cabinet and effects models (including 128 tone presets), they work with electric or acoustic guitars, and they have features like built-in tuners, metronomes and drum loops to give you a hand with everything from composition to warmup to taking the stage. You can even bring your own accompaniment with USB and AUX inputs, so no matter how you like to play, a Line 6 Spider V amp will keep that option open for you.
All four Spider V amplifiers are combo amps, which means you won't have to worry about a separate speaker cabinet - it's built right in. And these aren't your grandpa's speakers, either. They're full-range drivers that come in loud and clear no matter how extreme you have the effects dialed in. Naturally, the configuration varies based on the amp. The Line 6 Spider V 30W, for example, has a single 8" speaker. Stepping up to the Spider V 60W gets you up to 10", with twice the wattage to power it. The spider V 120W sizes up again, to a 12" driver, and last but definitely not least is the Line 6 Spider V 240W, which not only doubles the power, it also doubles the speaker real estate with a 2x12" layout.
As great as the modeling functionality and speaker systems are, some of the easiest things to appreciate about Line 6 Spider V amps are the little touches. For example, the illuminated controls are easy to see on dimly-lit stages, and even come color-coded so you can spot the one you need at a glance during your gig. There's a clear display to show you which settings you have dialed in, and the 60, 120 and 240W models support the Line 6 Relay G10T wireless transmitter, so you don't even need a guitar cable - good news if you're the energetic sort of guitarist who runs the risk of getting tangled up. All in all, there's a lot to appreciate here, so whatever kind of artist you are, the Spider V series has something to offer.
