About QSC Speakers
QSC speakers deliver clarity and power thanks to the company’s years of experience in professional sound technology. Whether you’re setting up sound for a corner coffee shop or a concert in the park, there’s a QSC PA speaker for you.
Types of QSC Live Sound Speakers
Here at Musician’s Friend, you’ll find a wide variety of QSC speakers. Their main lineup consists of powered speakers, like in the K.2 Series, the CP Series, and the KW Series. These loudspeakers are portable, powerful and reliable, and are among the top choices for live sound engineers, bands and DJs. If you need an active line array speaker, the popular QSC KLA Series is an excellent pick. When you need a passive speaker, the E Series and AcousticPerformance AP Series deliver great sound solutions for long-lasting installations. Whatever your live sound needs are, you can rely on QSC speakers.
QSC Speakers for Small Venues
Small venues don’t need the sound levels of large speakers, which is why QSC developed 8” and 10” speakers. These speakers deliver clear sound with a wide dispersion, suitable for audiences that are close to the stage. Whether you’re gigging at a house party or performing at a café, you’ll find that these smaller QSC speakers provide high-quality sound with lightweight, space-saving design. Powered QSC speakers — like the K8.2, K10.2 and CP8 — are perfect for solo performers in these small venues. Their compact size tucks into venues with complicated configurations and make setting up a live sound rig easy.
QSC Speakers for Mid-to-Large Venues
Need PA speakers with more power? The same QSC speakers that excel in small venues are also available in sizes that perform great in large venues. Along with deeper bass, the added SPL (Sound Pressure Level) brings seriously loud sound to bigger clubs and outdoor events. QSC’s K.2, KW and CP Series all come in 12” designs. The KW Series also comes in a 15” size for performers looking to add some lows without a separate subwoofer, or to put together the fullest sounding system when a sub is added. Top speaker choices for large venues include the QSC K12.2, the CP12 and the KW153 speakers. If you’re a DJ or band in need of deep bass sound, you’ll find great success with the QSC KS Series of subwoofers. Setting up a permanent installation? Passive QSC speakers in the E Series, like the E115, ensure sound reaches every corner. When paired with the right QSC amplifier, the E Series booms.
QSC Sound Technology
Ever since QSC was founded in 1968 by Patrick Quilter, the company has pushed the envelope on developing live sound technology. QSC’s multi-channel, multi-power Class-D amplifier with a regulated power supply brought higher efficiency to their speakers. Other advancements included using transistors as on-off switches. Before, they were used as less efficient variable resistors. Since the Class-D amplifier was patented in 2005, QSC speakers have seen improved acoustic output, reduced distortion and wider frequency ranges. Even better, the Class-D amp allowed for smaller and lighter speaker housings as well as lower production costs. Today, QSC’s industry expertise drives their research and development to deliver the latest and greatest in live sound technology.
