Hey I got these in a mic, headphone, monitor package and I can honestly say that they aint half bad. A comfortable fit, with just minor slippage at times but it could be much worse. As far as the sound goes these headphones do the job for all my recording needs, they match up nice with my monitors so it doesn't sound like I recorded a great track in the headphones and not in the monitors if you know what I mean. Then there's the quality, it's plastic so you gotta have some gentle hands, but you'd be hardpressed to find even the most expensive headphones without some plastic on them. I've been putting these babies into overtime for the past year and a half and they're still fresh outta the box condition. The value for these is great, it's always good to have a extra pair layin around and for the price you just can't beat it. Overall, very nice. The con: I'm listening to a super-unreleased song I am just about finished with and my girlfriend can here every note of it from the other room, yea a little slippage.
These phones have a pleasing balanced sound for general music listening. They have good clarity without sounding harsh or overly hyped in the bass either. As open-backed phones they have some leakage but it's not severe. Very comfortable and light for their size.
I got these as a Christmas present from a friend. I've used them for project studio recordings. They are really lite and comfortable. Although, they can't take a beating. The wires are thin and they will break easily. But, good for home studio stuff. Pretty good for the POD XT. The sound is reliable.
I have a relatively limited experience, but these sound absolutely exquisite compared to other models at the same price. No question. Bass is not ultra-punchy, but who wants that imbalance? The detail and space these provide is far beyond my expectations. I'd like it if they weren't all plastic, but for TWO pair, whose complaining? Not me.
