Overview

A digital mixer with 96kHz FPGA for ultralow latency.

Modern productions demand more than channels and processing power—they demand speed, flexibility and the ability to adapt instantly to complex shows. The Allen & Heath Avantis digital mixer with dPack is designed for engineers who need large-format capability without stepping up to a larger control surface, combining the XCVI 96kHz FPGA engine, ultralow 0.7ms latency and an intuitive dual-touchscreen workflow in a powerful live sound platform. With dPack, Avantis expands to 96 input channels, 56 configurable buses, 24 Dyn8 processors and advanced DEEP processing technologies drawn from the dLive ecosystem. Whether mixing touring productions, festival stages, houses of worship or corporate events, Avantis delivers the scale, processing depth and operational speed required for demanding live sound applications.

dPack Unlocks Expanded Mixing Capabilities

The included dPack unlocks the full potential of the Avantis platform, expanding channel count from 64 to 96 inputs while increasing configurable buses from 42 to 56. Simultaneous Dyn8 processing instances grow from 16 to 24, providing additional dynamic EQ and multiband compression resources for complex mixes. The update also introduces CompStortion, a DEEP compressor emulation with multiple attack and release characteristics, saturation modes and specialized settings for vocals, drums, guitars and mix bus applications. These expanded capabilities allow engineers to manage larger productions without sacrificing workflow efficiency or processing resources.

RackUltra FX and dLive-Derived Processing Tools

Avantis with dPack brings high-end effects processing into a compact, accessible format. RackUltra FX introduces premium reverbs, harmonizers, vocal processors, saturation effects, distortion and advanced creative tools derived from the dLive platform. When paired with the optional RackUltra FX card, users gain access to eight dedicated RackUltra FX engines without consuming mix buses, channels or existing RackExtra FX slots. Combined with DEEP processing options and extensive routing flexibility, Avantis gives engineers detailed sonic control for productions that require both precision and creative flexibility.

Continuity UI and Fast Mixing Workflow

At the center of the Avantis experience are dual 15.6" Full HD capacitive touchscreens running Allen & Heath's Continuity UI. Designed to connect physical controls with touchscreen interaction, the interface allows engineers to view and adjust critical parameters quickly and intuitively. Touch-sensitive faders instantly highlight active channels, while dynamic rotary controls can switch between gain, pan, EQ, compressor and effects functions. User-configurable layouts, assignable SoftKeys and Smart Rotaries provide rapid access to frequently used controls, helping engineers stay focused on the mix rather than navigating menus.

Flexible Connectivity for Modern Production Environments

Avantis is built to integrate into virtually any professional audio system. Local connectivity includes analog XLR inputs and outputs, AES digital I/O and USB playback and recording capabilities. Dual expansion card slots support Dante, MADI, Waves, gigaACE and other networking formats, making the console equally suited for front-of-house applications, monitor mixing, broadcast integration and multitrack recording workflows. The SLink port enables seamless connection to Allen & Heath remote I/O expanders and personal monitoring systems, while comprehensive wireless control options provide flexibility throughout the venue.

Scalable Control for Complex Live Productions

Designed to support modern production workflows, Avantis can be controlled using Avantis Director software, MixPad wireless control, OneMix personal monitor mixing and Allen & Heath remote controllers. Engineers can mix front of house from the console while monitor engineers work wirelessly from an iPad, or provide performers with personalized monitor control through OneMix. With support for up to 48 IP remote controllers and extensive networking capabilities, the Allen & Heath Avantis with dPack scales from standalone productions to complex multi-operator environments, delivering processing depth, workflow speed and system flexibility for professional live sound applications.
