Smooth Operator analyzes your audio at your DAW's sample rate, constantly adapting its settings to target frequencies with excessive resonant energy. The plugin lets you intuitively shape a desired frequency response curve using four nodes, then optimizes your signal accordingly for a smoother, more balanced tone. This gives you the ability to surgically tame resonances while preserving or enhancing detail, using an advanced algorithm far more precise than static EQ and compression alone.

A Unified Workflow for Sculpting Your Tone

Smooth Operator offers a simplistic alternative to traditional channel strips, combining the fix-it benefits of resonance suppression with the tone-shaping versatility of compression and equalization. Use it on any track to subtly purify and enhance its tone, knowing the intelligent algorithm has your back. Everything happens in real-time, from breaking the audio into particles with FFT to analyzing, processing and reassembling them independently. This allows for precision control not possible with standard effects.

With Surgical Focus or Broad Strokes

You can precision target problem resonances or take a broader corrective approach. The Focus control lets you set how aggressively each spike is processed, from 100% for surgical accuracy to lower values for more cumulative control. Audition specific areas with the Solo button to zone in on fixes. The algorithm's spectral nature also makes it perfect for ducking signals, using the sidechain input to create space in your mix by attenuation.

With Intuitive Controls for Any Application

Smooth Operator features two processing algorithms - a low latency "Classic" mode perfect for tracking and production and a high-resolution "High-Res" mode for mixing and mastering's clean demands. Adjust the global Threshold for the overall effect intensity, tweak the response curve's 4 nodes to target frequencies and control the Q value with your mouse wheel. Visually customize the interface with three background colors and resizable windows. Smooth Operator makes intelligent mixing easy.
