QuickSmart DSP Provides Detailed System Control

Electro-Voice QuickSmart DSP gives the EVOLVE 50 a flexible processing platform for adapting the system to different sources and environments. Four factory presets—Music, Live, Speech and Club—provide starting points for common applications, while a 3-band EQ allows additional tonal adjustment. Five user-programmable presets can store and recall frequently used configurations, reducing setup time when returning to familiar performance situations. The processing engine also provides output delay, +15V phantom power, input level controls and meters, master volume control and visual monitoring of limiter status. Together, these tools provide direct access to essential system parameters without requiring additional outboard processing.

Wireless Control and Bluetooth Audio Streaming

The QuickSmart Mobile app extends EVOLVE 50 control beyond the system's onboard interface, using Bluetooth Low Energy technology for wireless configuration, control and monitoring. A compatible mobile device can manage up to six EVOLVE 50 systems simultaneously, allowing adjustments to be made from different positions in the room rather than directly at each loudspeaker. The app can also provide notifications during critical performance conditions, adding another layer of system monitoring during an event. Separate Bluetooth audio capability supports high-resolution wireless music playback for intermissions, accompaniment and other program material, giving performers and presenters a convenient option for integrating compatible playback devices into the system.

Three-Component Design Streamlines Setup and Transport

The EVOLVE 50 divides into a powered subwoofer, aluminum pole and composite column array for transport and assembly. The bidirectional aluminum pole connects to the subwoofer using a magnetic connection, while the column array is gravity-held on the pole and audio is routed internally between the system components. This integrated design reduces the need for separate speaker stands and external cabling between the subwoofer and column. Electro-Voice also includes a carrying bag for the pole and column array.
