Overview

A USB audio interface with authentic ’70s analog vibe.

Classic Harrison console circuitry meets a modern recording workflow in the Harrison Flex-10 USB/ADAT audio interface. Built around 32-bit/192kHz conversion, the 10-in/12-out interface combines two Harrison microphone preamps with H-DRIVE transformer saturation, high-pass and low-pass filters derived from the Harrison 32 Series console, and balanced insert points for integrating outboard processing. Eight channels of ADAT I/O provide room for digital expansion, while dual stereo monitor outputs and two headphone outputs support flexible monitoring configurations. Front-panel Hi-Z inputs accommodate guitars and basses, and additional line inputs provide connections for synthesizers, drum machines and other sources. USB-C connectivity, MIDI I/O and an included Harrison software package round out an interface designed for musicians, producers and engineers working across desktop and expandable studio setups.

Harrison Preamps With H-DRIVE Transformer Saturation

Two Harrison microphone preamps form the analog front end of the Flex-10, providing dedicated recording channels for microphones and other sources. H-DRIVE transformer saturation on each channel lets users introduce increasing amounts of harmonic coloration at the input stage or maintain a cleaner signal when less coloration is desired. High-pass and low-pass filters derived from Harrison's 32 Series console provide additional tone shaping before conversion, while two front-panel Hi-Z inputs accommodate guitars, basses and other instrument-level sources. Balanced insert points on both channels also provide a direct path for integrating compatible compressors, equalizers and other outboard processors into the recording chain.

32-Bit Conversion and Eight-Channel ADAT Expansion

The Flex-10 supports recording and playback at resolutions up to 32-bit/192kHz, providing high-resolution conversion for modern recording and production workflows. Eight channels of ADAT I/O expand the interface beyond its onboard analog connections, allowing compatible external preamps, converters and other digital equipment to be incorporated as a studio grows. USB-C provides the primary computer connection, with class-compliant operation on macOS and an included ASIO driver for Windows. This combination of onboard analog I/O and digital expansion allows the Flex-10 to serve as the center of a compact desktop system or integrate into a larger recording configuration.

Flexible Monitoring and Hardware Studio Integration

Two independent stereo monitor outputs feature dedicated level controls, providing separate connections for multiple monitoring paths. Dual high-current headphone outputs accommodate additional monitoring during tracking, production and mixing sessions, while line-level inputs provide connections for synthesizers, drum machines and other studio hardware. MIDI I/O over 1/8" TRS connections integrates compatible controllers, instruments and other MIDI-equipped devices into the production setup. Front-panel VU meters provide immediate visual level monitoring while referencing the console-based design language associated with Harrison recording equipment.

Mixbus 12 and Creator Pack Production Software

An included license for Harrison Mixbus 12 extends the Flex-10 workflow from recording into editing and mixing. The DAW provides Harrison's console-inspired production environment and integrated console EQ, while the bundled Creator Pack expands the available collection of software instruments, effects, guitar processing, loops and samples. The package includes software from developers such as Solid State Logic, Slate Digital, Sonible, Loopcloud, AAS, Native Instruments and IK Multimedia. Together, the included software provides tools for recording, arranging, processing and mixing without requiring users to assemble a production software collection separately.

Analog Character for Modern Recording Workflows

The Flex-10 brings several elements associated with Harrison's analog console designs into an audio interface built around current studio connectivity and production requirements. H-DRIVE transformer saturation and 32 Series-derived filters provide analog tone-shaping options at the recording stage, while 32-bit/192kHz conversion, ADAT expansion, flexible monitoring and USB-C connectivity support contemporary computer-based setups. Balanced inserts and MIDI connectivity provide additional options for studios incorporating external processors and instruments. For musicians, producers and engineers seeking Harrison analog circuitry alongside expandable digital I/O, the Harrison Flex-10 USB/ADAT audio interface combines console-derived signal shaping with a flexible recording and monitoring platform.

Harrison: Flex-10 USB/ADAT Audio Interface

What is the Harrison Flex-10 audio interface?

The Harrison Flex-10 is a 10-in/12-out USB-C and ADAT audio interface designed for recording, production and hybrid studio setups. It combines 32-bit/192kHz conversion with two Harrison microphone preamps, H-DRIVE transformer saturation and expandable digital I/O.

Can the Harrison Flex-10 record guitars and microphones?

Yes. The Flex-10 provides two Harrison microphone preamps along with front-panel Hi-Z inputs for connecting guitars, basses and other instrument-level sources. Each preamp also includes H-DRIVE transformer saturation and high-pass and low-pass filtering for shaping signals during recording.

Can I expand the Harrison Flex-10 with additional preamps?

Yes. Eight channels of ADAT I/O allow the Flex-10 to connect with compatible external preamps, converters and other ADAT-equipped studio gear, making it possible to expand the recording setup beyond the interface's onboard analog inputs.

Does the Harrison Flex-10 work with Mac and Windows computers?

Yes. The Flex-10 connects via USB-C and supports class-compliant operation with macOS. Harrison also provides an ASIO driver for Windows systems.
