One of the most significant technological innovations of the DLM line is Mackie TruSource Technology. It's a potent combination of a brand new, completely unique, transducer design and powerful proprietary digital signal processing. At the heart of the DLM12 is the extremely compact TruSource driver, which combines the high and low-frequency driver into a vertically-aligned, common-magnet design that is ultra-efficient and extremely capable. The sonic reproduction is incredibly transparent across the entire frequency range.
Drawing on the powerful mixing capabilities of the popular Mackie DL1608, DLM Series loudspeakers feature a powerful integrated digital mixer with all the effects, processing and tools you need for your professional applications. That makes the DLM speakers truly a one-box solution for many applications.
These speakers are ideal for bands, DJs and venues, as their versatility is the only thing that rivals their fidelity. They can be pole-mounted, wall-mounted, flown, stacked, and carried. They are lightweight, rugged and sound fantastic.

Comments about Mackie DLM12 2000W 12" Powered Loudspeaker:
Mackie's new DLM12's are the amazing. I bought a pair of them and couldn't be happier. I've been using them, in conjunction with the DLM12S subwoofers and it's truly remarkable the sound that comes outta this super compact system. They have tons of power (8000 watt system) and they are unbelievably simple. For small gigs, this is the perfect rig. I'm looking forward to adding some DLM8's to use for wedges. Oh, and for rehearsals, we just use the top boxes (no need of the subs at low volumes with just vocals going through).

This unit sounds great and is very easy to use! The only drawback is that it does not have side handles to make it easy to mount or remove when using a stand. Other than that, I love it!

Comments about Mackie DLM12 2000W 12" Powered Loudspeaker:
It works great with my Mackie DL 1608. But if you're using the built in mixer for a single gig, the guitar channel is WAY too quiet. Good enough for a small coffee house gig, but that's it. The mic channel can get as loud as you want, but the guitar channel can't come close to keeping up. It's a design flaw. I called Mackie support but there's no solution. I was told to run my guitar through a preamp. It's still not enough. I use Martins and a 912ce Taylor through a Fishman Acoustic Imaging pedal and I can turn the guitar and Fishman way up beyond anywhere beyond where the output should be. -Still not enough!
If you run everything through a mixer into the first channel, no problems.
Don't buy this if you don't have a mixer.

Comments about Mackie DLM12 2000W 12" Powered Loudspeaker:
I purchased a pair of these to use with my AX8 in order to assemble my FRFR system. They are lightweight, reliable, and replicate the sound of the AX8's perfectly. I am also able to use them with non powered Mackie mixer and they work great.
