Gold Coverage Details
Gold Coverage goes above and beyond the manufacturer's warranty to protect your gear from unexpected breakdowns, accidental damage from handling and failures. This plan covers your product for one, two, three or up to five years from your date of purchase, costs just pennies per day and gives you a complete "no-worry" solution for protecting your investment.
Gold Coverage Includes:
- Unexpected and unintentional spills, drops and cracks
- Normal wear and tear
- Power surges
- Dust, internal heat and humidity
Other plan features include:
- For products over $200, No Lemon Policy applies. If it fails for the same defect 3 times, it is replaced on the 4th breakdown. (Does not apply to failures due to drops, spills, and cracks)
- For products under $200 experiencing the above failures, a Musician's Friend gift card will be issued for the full price of the product + tax.
- Shipping fees covered if required for repair or replacement
- Plans are transferable in the event merchandise is sold
- Plans are renewable on new gear

Term for New Gear begins on date of purchase but does not replace the store return policy or manufacturer coverage.
Analog control meets powerful digital processing.
Bring the immediacy of hands-on analog mixing together with powerful digital processing using the Yamaha MGP32XA 32-channel hybrid analog mixing console. Designed for live sound, installed systems and other professional audio applications, the MGP32XA provides 32 line inputs—including 24 mono channels with discrete Class-A D-PRE mic preamps—along with 16 1-knob compressors for straightforward dynamics control. Yamaha X-pressive EQ adds detailed tonal shaping, while dual REV-X and SPX effects processors put reverb, delay and modulation effects directly within the console. The stereo bus adds graphic EQ and compression for shaping and managing the overall mix, and six aux sends plus two FX sends support flexible monitor and effects routing. A built-in USB recorder rounds out the hybrid workflow, allowing stereo mixes to be captured directly to USB storage without requiring an external recorder.
Class-A D-PRE Preamps Preserve Signal Detail
The MGP32XA equips its 24 mono input channels with Yamaha's discrete Class-A D-PRE microphone preamps, giving microphones and other input sources a carefully engineered analog front end. Their inverted Darlington circuit design is intended to reproduce low frequencies with musical character while maintaining extended high-frequency response. Each mono channel also provides independently switchable +48V phantom power and a 26dB pad, making it easier to accommodate condenser microphones as well as higher-level sources. Sixteen 1-knob compressors on channels 9–24 simplify dynamics control by letting engineers rein in vocals, instruments and other variable sources without navigating a separate processor.
X-pressive EQ Expands Hands-On Tonal Control
Rather than abandoning the tactile workflow of an analog console, Yamaha extends it with X-pressive EQ on the mono channels. Developed with the company's VCM (Virtual Circuitry Modeling) technology, this EQ models characteristics of vintage analog equalizer circuitry while keeping shaping controls directly accessible from the channel strip. Adjustable cutoff frequencies broaden the available tonal range, giving engineers more flexibility when balancing sources or correcting problem areas in a sound-reinforcement system. The result is an EQ section designed for immediate, hands-on adjustments while drawing on Yamaha's digital modeling technology behind the scenes.
Dual REV-X and SPX Engines Expand Effects
Two onboard digital effects engines give the MGP32XA substantial processing capability without filling an outboard rack. The REV-X processor provides eight reverb programs, while the SPX processor offers 16 programs spanning reverb, delay, modulation and combination effects. Because the processors operate independently, engineers can build more versatile effects treatments within a single mix rather than committing the console to one global effect. Six aux sends and two dedicated FX sends further expand routing options, providing the flexibility needed to manage stage monitoring and effects across live performances, presentations and installed sound systems.
Master Processing and USB Recording Streamline Workflow
Digital processing extends to the stereo output, where onboard compression and graphic EQ provide practical tools for managing the finished mix. Engineers can choose standard or multiband compression to control overall output dynamics, while 14-band GEQ and Flex9GEQ modes provide frequency shaping that can help address system response and feedback. The integrated USB device recorder adds another useful layer to the workflow, capturing the stereo mix as MP3 or WAV files directly to compatible USB storage. It can also play MP3, WAV and AAC files, providing convenient playback for music and other program material without a separate playback device.
Hybrid Control for Larger Live and Installed Systems
With its expanded input capacity, tactile analog control and integrated digital tools, the MGP32XA is designed for engineers managing larger live productions and installed sound systems. Twenty-four D-PRE-equipped mono channels provide room for more microphones and instruments, while onboard effects, stereo-bus processing and USB recording handle functions that might otherwise require additional equipment. Ducker and Leveler functions further support event and installed-sound workflows by automatically managing background music around announcements and helping maintain consistent playback levels. For live performances, houses of worship, event production and installed systems that demand greater input capacity, the Yamaha MGP32XA 32-channel analog mixer combines hands-on operation with an adaptable set of digital mixing tools.
