Comments about Akai Professional EXM128 128MB RAM Expansion Card for MPC2500:
I just wanted give a look out for you new producers out there. Don't throw away your money by purchasing inferior RAM modules from a "trusted" manufacturer like Kingston or similar. Their PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB are cheap and a waste of money. Your MPC will be crippled and your beats just won't sound as bangin and phat unless you pony up 4 da real deal. Trust me, I made that mistake. Twice. I don't know how Akai does it but it sounds wicked phatter than any other RAM. Must be the 16-bit D/D conversion. If you don't believe me just ask the peeps at on the MPC forums. It also looks tight in my MPC! Just like a standard PC 133 144PIN CL3 SODIMM 256MB except it's RED and says Akai on it so I'm always unscrewing the bottom of my MPC to show it off to my boyz. Anywayz... hope I helped. Wish someone would've told me.
