I got the angled one to fit in a Flying V I'm restoring and after talking with the manufacturer about measurements I finally got it. The quality is amazing and it has that familiar spring to it that Gibsons have (this being a Gibson part, it makes sense). I went to put it in my V and while the measurements of the length of the part inside the body was right, the shafts of the switch wasn't long enough to fit through the maple cap on the guitar. I didn't want to risk hollowing out that spot and weakening the top so I decided to put it in my Dean Z (explorer) instead. Since on the Z it mounts to a pickguard, it fit. But the end was too long so I had to chisel out the route to get it to fit in the body. Overall it's a nice switch that I've had in my Z for about a week and a half now and it's still going strong. Knowing how long Gibson parts last, I'd expect to have this switch in it for years to come.

It feels less solid than the cheap, nameless switch I was using. It is too easy to flip the switch, I don't know if it is meant to be this way or just mine is defective, but the spring metal doesn't seem as stiff.
I'm not going to let my switch ruin my opinion of Switchcraft quality, I'd still recommend it.

Comments about DiMarzio Switchcraft Toggle Switch for Gibson:
I don't know what Gibson guitar this switch is suppose to fit, but it definitely does NOT fit my Les Paul Studio. First of all, it is physically too long to fit inside the guitar cavity (the back cover actually touches it). Secondly, the threads that go through the body aren't long enough to attach the nut properly. It is a totally different design from original equipment. I'm sure it is a quality product, but since I did not get a chance to use it, I gave it the lowest possible rating.
Comments about DiMarzio Switchcraft Toggle Switch for Gibson:
These switchcraft switches are amazing and have been used for a long time by Gibson. They last and take abuse but this quality comes at a price. This is the best you can probably buy.
These dimarzio toggle switches are exactly the same as the ones used by Gibson are their guitars. There is an error in the description for this item so ATTENTION TO ALL BUYERS. The deep nut is included with the straight switch and the flat nut is included with the angled. You will need a deep nut to mount the switch in a carved top guitar, like a les paul.
These made in america switches are extremely rugged and will last through years of use. They're like an install and forget kind of thing.
The price for these switches seems overpriced but this is about the going price for them everywhere. If you want the very best, you have to pay a lil extra but it's worth it.

Ordered this switch to replace a broken one in a friend's Fender Telecaster Deluxe reissue. A perfect fit; direct replacement. He's very happy, and by extension, so am I. I would highly recommend this product to anyone with a similar need. A quality replacement part... Feels very solid.

Comments about DiMarzio Switchcraft Toggle Switch for Gibson:
This switch replaced the one in my Ephiphine Casino. Great improvement on reliability. The switch is bigger than the original and my cause some problems in other guitars depending on plcement of the Vol or Tone control. My Casino was at the limits of space for the proper up and down placement. But is worked. Been in for 5 yrs with no issues.
