Zebra acoustic-electric strings from DR Strings work great for acoustic-electric guitars with piezo pickups under the bridge or magnetic pickups in the soundhole. Zebras also work for full-size archtop guitars, which respond to Zebra strings with richer tones. Any amplified acoustic guitar comes alive when you put on Zebra strings. Revolutionary design you can see--every other coil is nickel-plated steel, every other coil is rare phosphor bronze, and both are wound on round cores.

Comments about DR Strings Zebra Medium Lite Acoustic-Electric Guitar Strings:

i used these for quiet a while on my ibanez acoustic electric and today i restrung it with just regular acoustic strings and i believed it sounded much better. in my opinion its not worth buying acoustic electric strings.

Comments about DR Strings Zebra Medium Lite Acoustic-Electric Guitar Strings:

I tried these on my EJ-200CE jumbo body and could not believe the difference from the factory strings. I love the sweet clean sound and the smooth feel without all the string squeeking.

      The right string

Comments about DR Strings Zebra Medium Lite Acoustic-Electric Guitar Strings:

This string is a perfect fit for the stereo style guitar(acoustic/magnetic). I use them on my Carvin AE185(magnetic and piezo) and my Parker P38(magnetic and fishman power bridge). When the signal is split, magnetic to the amp and acoustic to the board, the sounds are very pleasing. Blending the two makes for a nice shimmering sound. Would like to see a coated string version.

Comments about DR Strings Zebra Medium Lite Acoustic-Electric Guitar Strings:

After being extremely satisfied with the Sunbeams, I wanted to try DR's other round-core strings for my acoustic/electric with a piezo UST.

The 1st-5th strings are okay but not spectacular. The 6th string, on the other hand, is the absolute worst of any strings I have EVER come across. On two separate sets, I heard nothing but muted, dull whimpers from the bass strings. These make Matrin FX Silk & Phosphor's bass strings sound thunderous by comparison. I had to obtain single bass strings to replace them and make the guitar marginally suited for performance.

If you don't use 6th strings much, the product might be useful. But for 99% of players who do, it's worthless.

Comments about DR Strings Zebra Medium Lite Acoustic-Electric Guitar Strings:

These are great strings to use if you have a darker sounding acoustic guitar! I have them on a Gibson Gospel and they really brighten it up! I have a Martin thinline pickup installed to use the guitar live and I like the sound with these! Been using them for years without being disappointed.

Comments about DR Strings Zebra Medium Lite Acoustic-Electric Guitar Strings:

I've been experimenting with strings on my Ibanez full hollow body electric. I tried these out and the more I play them on the guitar I like them, but it wasn't an instant liking, it's sort of grown on me the sound I'm getting out of these.

If you're a fanatic about your tone, depending on the style you play, I say try these. I wanted to bring out the acousticness of my hollow body and so far so good. I had previously tried some Drop tuning DR strings and I prefer these much more than those.

                Give em' a try.

Since the strings were ordered 15 days ago and have not arrived, I can't comment on them. However, I can say this is the second time MF has used UPS Mail Innovations to free ship an inexpensive item, and it is the second time the item was lost in shipping. According to the tracking information, after getting perilously close to where I live, it was redirected to Massachusetts...
